I have tried it and it worked absolutely fine while i was looking in the kinects direction, but once you turn 90° it glitches out really bad. Not sure how it works if you got more than one kinect, but i can't imagine it is anywhere on par with the trackers.

Rift + Kinect is total poorfag Ugandan tier. You can't do full-body at all, it's gonna glitch the fuck out all the time and everyone will laugh at you while the Chad Vive anime girls with full-body tracking is dancing away fucking other hot anime girls.

Also the Rift tracking in general is shit because the sensors use regular old camera technology to capture your movement (and also spy on you). Vive uses actual modern technology like infrared light to smoothly track your movements no matter what, with better range and perfect tracking.

I couldn't get anyone to upload the Muscle Animation Editor, so I decided to buy it myself and upload it since I saw at least 10 people wanted it over multiple threads. I even threw in the latest version of Dynamic Bone as a bonus.

Hey /vrg/, I'm a new Rift user. I've been looking for ways to record footage. Share/Shadowplay seems to work fine for most games, but is there a way to control it from VR? Using keyboard hotkeys is a pain, I'd love to use either some sort of button combination on the controllers or even manually selecting it from a menu, but I can't find anything of the sort.

What are you searching for? If you are looking for full models, search for popular vocaloid characters, they are usually pretty good.

Yes. Say you have a rig with their arms down, you can use the humanoid rig configuration to move them into a T-Position, otherwise they'll stand with their arms crossed like some tryhard hood boy.

For the props and tail, you can modify them in the scene window or make them invisible.

Use animation overrides to enable a particle system on a gesture/emote. You could probably get pretty complex with stacking multiple systems.

There is a bug (in VRChat, not Unity) with world space particle systems that are a child of a bone though (https://vrchat.canny.io/bug-reports/p/particle-system-in-world-space-has-incorrect-parenting). So anything that has a hand or something has a parent needs to be in local space (or their parent transform will be reset to 0,0,0), but as a side effect every particle will move with your hand, even after it's emitted. You can somewhat get around this with having it in world space by making its parent the root object (since that isn't a bone), and the particle system will be emitted from your facing direction, but the emitted particles won't move with you. But as a result, you can't shoot the particles from a specific part of your body, like your hand.

There is a small portion in Tupper's megatutorial regarding custom animations, around 1h 27m 45s in. You just apply that to making a custom idle animation. I can give you a screenshot of what my idle animation ended up looking like in the animation window. The muscle poser used should have been uploaded much earlier in the thread by another anon, which is what gets used.
