Like say you have a character model and a cape model and you decide to combine together in unity. The model with the lower poly count with override the higher model's textures and both models will have the exact same textures. This glitch only effects mirror in vrchat.

yeah, you generally need to weight paint to solve this. you can do it in tandem with dynamic bones, the problem is them is they're like a chain of balls, they're not connected laterally.

so you need to weight paint to give the dress some influence from the position of the leg bones, otherwise they're only following the movement of the dress bones, which are easily pushed aside by the colliders

Vive and Oculus are both higher resolution than the PSVR, and presumably your PC has more horsepower than a PS4, so you'll notice less shimmering and more detail. The biggest difference, assuming you go with a Vive, is tracking, both of the headset and the controllers. PSVR is sort of tied to the PS Move controllers and sensor, so PSVR games assume you can only face forward and have limited controls. With a Vive, or the Rift with a third sensor, you have full freedom to move around your space, turn in every direction, and have your hands accurately put into VR by the controller tracking.

The only real differences are:

- Rift has better controllers, 3 finger tracking, and is cheaper

- Vive allows you to stick extra trackers on your body.

Vive is adding 5 finger tracking with the new controllers that don't yet have a release date, and I will guess that rift will probably add cheap extra trackers at some point as all it would require is some LED strips.

Well I'm not that other Xbone kinect anon but I'll give my two cents now my friend and I have had it for a few days.
To get it out of thew way, It's definitely no replacement for Vive trackers. They're noticeably more sluggish than Vive trackers so a discerning eye will be able to tell the difference between somebody using a Vive or Oculus (The average VRChat user however is easily fooled/amused). Also the driver is sometimes finicky and might bug out on you; as well as possible accuracy issues over time. The biggest problems however come with the fact that the kinect is a front facing sensor so you always have to face it and this limits certain poses you can strike. One example would be a sit-up. Easily done with vive trackers, impossible however with the kinect.
After saying all that however it's still fun to play around with. You can show off your legs, dry-hump other avatars, etc. And for the grand total cost of half of one vive tracker it's good enough though you do get what you pay for.
