Activate debug view at the top right of menu where you select the material; it is next to the padlock. Set custom render queue to 0 which will make it disappear, then increase it until it renders again, probably something like 3000 or higher. I created a particle effect that I'm trying to attach onto a dynamic bone, but when I go press play in Unity and move the avatar around, the particle system doesn't move with the bone it was parented to, it moves as if it was parented to the avatar. I tried creating a sphere on the dynamic bone and parenting the particle system to that sphere, but it still doesn't move as if attached to it.

This may or may not be doable in the Vive with OVRDrop, but I use a Rift on a beta branch of the software where it does work for me. So I sit at my desk, put on the headset, run VRChat, and then run my desktop through an Oculus Dash window pinned somewhere in front of me. I go idle somewhere, and when I want to play the game, I simply turn around away from the window and pick up my controllers from the sides of my chair which conveniently has enough space to put them on. Also when I use my desktop in VR, I do just use my regular mouse and keyboard, and I do have to type without looking, which I fortunately can do.

To be honest, I advise you to wait till they get all of this out of beta. There are some pain points with it and a lot of people seem to get bugs and slowdowns, although I've mostly used it fine. The slowdowns may or may not happen for you; they don't seem to for me (seem being the keyword).
