Watched the advertisement video looks pretty neat I'll need to try it out later. I think modelling in 3d looks a lot more intuitive and with the right set of tools it should be superior. I'm really looking forward to the day someone builds some sort of CAD system into VR. The sense of scale you get from seeing the model in front of you versus on a screen lets you make much more sensible design decisions where it might not have been as obvious before with the lack of depth. I have found with just some of the models I've made for VRchat that after I import them into VR I see a lot of things that could have been done better that I didn't notice before.

On a related note why do all these tech/VR companies use so damn many niggers in their product videos? It's fucking ridiculous. You'd think the US is like majority black from the shit they make, where they're literally less than 10% of the population and are represented quite a bit less than that in tech. I'm getting real tired of seeing them shoehorned into everything. I fail to see how it helps them sell more of anything.

I have a little experience in Oculus Medium, and it is very easy and intuitive to use. It took me 20-30 minutes from going to not knowing how to use it, to having a finished model of a tongue. Without a tutorial. I just pressed buttons until I understood what to do. Much better and far far quicker to do stuff here than in Blender or other modeling programs if you're starting as a newbie. I'm thinking about using it fully in the future once I get into hardcore modeling, as the tool for creating the base model of organic things. For non-organic things, I plan on using Google Blocks, although I haven't tried it yet so maybe it's not as good as I'm imagining. I'll see.
However I'm not sure what Vive users have as an alternative to Oculus Medium.

Yeah it'd be great if the entire workflow for creating assets could be in VR, but as there are no programs offering that, we're left with what we have, so I'll probably be creating the base models in Oculus Medium and optimizing it in traditional tools. For the tongue I made, I imported it into Blender, decimated, and then imported it into Unity and applied a flat color to it which is all that I needed. The biggest issue with online socializing is that due to distance and some anynominity the connections you make aren't going to be as strong or useful as ones that you would make partying in town IRL. You can't make friends with anon and then expect him to be able to help you move a couch, etc...

It's because the eye AI will always scan from the bones forward and not the iris mesh's center. The bones are higher so they will look down more, are more innerwards so they look goggly more.

As someone who spent ages fixing the problem with trial and error until I could do the eyebones manually, the eyetracking depends on three things - the position of the eye(pupil) meshes relative to the eyewhites, the size+position of the eye bones and the size+position of the head bone. That models eye bones are practically on the noise bridge and higher than the iris; Its a mess to setup. My advice is using Cats range and drop the new eye bone position closer to the iris AND THEN move the eye whites mesh back, there is plenty of room in the face eye holes to do it.
