The question is, is there a way to set these all to be hidden by default until I use a gesture or do I still have to have the weapons all as individual models to have them hidden when Im not gesturing?

You should play around with the import settings of the picture in unity.

Now I have a new question. How do I make a texture overlay that just overlays my pink hearts on top of my eyes? When I use NoeNoe's shaders and do it, it comes out red because my eyes are red. If I put the Crossfade Surface/ Overlay all the way to the right I get the pink hearts, but my red eyes disappear so it's just the picture of the heart.

SynLogic's shaders can do this (bottom), but they only rotate, the tiling is too much, and they overlay on top of the eyes instead of inside them like NoeNoe's shaders.
