Yes, I've set the graphics to the lowest, at the lowest resolution, at the lowest supersampling. Safe mode only let me exist so long as a person I still had friended didn't appear in the world and try to make my computer render their severely unoptimized avatar, causing it to enter a soft-crash state (infinite loading screen, looping audio clip.) Until there's either a universal avatar block button or I somehow gather about $2,000 for new parts, the headpat lady won't be able to headpat anymore.

I've done a lot of strange shit in my life, getting blackout drunk in VRchat with /vrg/ is easily in my top 5 greatest experiences of all time, it shouldn't be as fun as it is but something about VR makes you feel less "sick drunk" and keeps me "fun party let's do it all" drunk for far longer. I think I have too many acquaintances and friends. And I'm making more and more. I can't help it. I just want to friend all anons and give them attention, as well as continue giving attention to those I'm already good friends with. At the same time it's getting a bit much for me and I can't dedicate so much time to all of them. This is really frustrating. I want to create deeper connections, but I also want to offer myself to those who don't get enough of the social life. I mean, I think they're still good people even if they're not very social. I'd like to make them feel welcomed.

This split attention has also created the problem where it seems like I don't really want to give attention to someone and it looks like I'm uninterested in them when I'm really not, I just keep getting more things to do and people to meet. And sometimes I feel bad not talking with someone for a long time, so I end up never talking to them until they initiate. Kinda feel like I'm going crazy a bit. Sorry for the blogpost.

I'm a cheap bastard, already have a PSVR for console exclusive stuff and I'm curios if anyone here has experience with setting up roomscale with PSVR + moves? I got that "we really live in the future" feeling on St. Patrick's day. I need to convert my stupid ass 50gigs of recordings from .flv into a workable format otherwise I'd link a clip to share the moment. Anyway I was in a public Great Pug, someone was playing some upbeat 21 pilots song, there was 20 or so people milling about on the 2nd floor where the stage is, some guy was strumming live on a guitar with a small audience, there were people everywhere paired up talking about anything and I was drunk out of my gourd. It seems I can at least play VRChat at 480p at a 0.6 Supersampling rate. It's blurry, it strains my eyes to see anything beyond 5m, and doesn't offer much better FPS, but I can at least stay around to headpat people without worrying about somebody's prefab particle kit not immediately crashing me from it's mere existence. Anyone got experience with WMR HMDs? A lot of them don't have any means of adjusting IPD and I'm curious how much that may affect things with the lens they use, given my Oculus Rift' sweet spot for visual clarity is pretty fucking narrow on the ones it sports.

A friend is interested in VR but I'm trying to steer him away from WMR mostly from a software compatibility standpoint atm, even though that'll change in the future with OpenXR, but that's a solid year off. Main issue is his PC wouldn't be able to use a Rift (limited USB ports, Rift's biggest shortcoming imo), and Vive is too fucking expensive in this country. Not sure how well WMRs even deal with positional drift given its relying on tracking its where-abouts in a room itself.

Resolution isn't a big deal. It's a common concern for non-VR users, but in practice it hardly matters outside a couple of shooters with long sight lines like Onward and your brain unconsciously filters out the screen door effect pretty quickly. If there's anything worth waiting til it becomes standard it's better controllers and full body tracking. Those are the most important gen2 features, not screen improvements.

The first thing people were saying was "this map needs some vehicles to drive around" so I think that chocobos would be a good addition.
The issue I have with maps where you can jump around like that is that it's hard to round everyone up when it's time to change maps. The Stormwind and Orgrimmary maps are the same way.

I think maybe making the area around the tavern a bit more exciting would help with this problem, so that players congregate there naturally instead of splitting between the four spots.

I've been able to import models and skin them with textures using the specific versions.
The problem is, apparently, the model and texture don't match even though they have matching labels as per the game dev's protocol.
