I don't like the responsibility. I don't like feeling like the session being fun for everyone is my responsibility. I don't like letting people down who join and then ultimately have their time wasted because not enough people joined, and I'm not interesting enough to entertain them. I don't enjoy the PvE mode. I don't like feeling hurt when the lobby fails to muster enough people together (or, in the last and only case I tried, any people at all)

I don't even like having to pay attention at all times in case the round ends and people ready up, or having to stare at the lobby teams waiting for the instant everyone is readied up before starting the next match.

The reflector sight on the 'battle rifle' is just a floating dot in the center of it, like the Arma 2 weapon sights.

You need to switch the images of a VR screenshot to be on different sides to get the "correct" depth, because if you just use the cross eye method, the right eye view will go to your left eye and the right eye view to your left. Alternatively you can try using a smartphone to open the image and view it using the parallel method where your eyes are pointing more straight ahead rather than crossing.

The higher resolution will generally look better, but also the lenses and distance to your eyes and such make a difference. The demos you generally don't spend as much time tuning so it doesn't look as nice as it could. The Vive's screen is higher quality so it should be less prone to failure, 'backlight bleed' and image burn in than the WMR, but like any piece of electronics, your experience is on a unit per unit basis, so you could have an extremely above average LCD display and the demo Vive could have a below average display. Alternatively, your display could die next week while the Vive's may go for several more years without issues.

I don't think that's a WMR only thing, I have a Rift and it looks like my hands are constantly shaking. If I slowly draw a circle in presentation room or with my snail marker you can see how jagged it is because of all the slight shaking.

My screen is always sort of shaking too. Not the actual screen itself, but just like the individual pixels. I'm pretty sure I have AA on so I don't know what the deal is. It looks like this gif with no AA, but even when I'm not moving I can see the pixels moving like they are in the gif

WMR has better resolution so as long as the lenses aren't complete garbage, which I think falls to the manufacturing brand, the image should appear clearer. The LCD requires more electricity and weight but if I remember correctly, generates slightly less heat.

Regardless, if you currently own a unit and you don't have major troubles with it, I wouldn't worry about getting a new unit until there are actual improvements in the next gen

Honestly, in my opinion, the WMR is only viable if you have nowhere to place sensors or want to do a traveling show off type thing as there's less to pack and setup.
Rift may have an inferior sensor suite to the Vive, but at least it has external sensors. That means you can grab things behind or to your sides without having to point your face at them so the device knows where your hands are

Removing doubles is a meme. It completely destroyed my avatar and now I have to go back to blender and redo the entire avatar from scratch.

Yep, it's dangerous if you're just using it blindly. It's good if you know you actually have double vertices on top of each other. It removes the extra ones and welds the faces together. And it has an adjustable slider from 'how far away' it melds vertices together. But I've broken so many faces, dresses and shapekeys using it.

It does decrease the tri count, it's a form of decimation, but usually with bad results if you're not careful.

You can play around with the slider on the bottom left when you select 'remove doubles' to see the effect better what it does. If the value is too high, it will scuff your mesh, and usually very tiny meshes, like shape key vertex groups hidden inside the head are completely destroyed by it.

I've used it to repair meshes that for some reason was split into two parts. At a certain point the faces were supposed to be joined together but weren't. Removing doubles actually welded the loose ends together.
