Can someone explain me what's up with Kantai Collection? I've never heard of it before vrg and most of you have avatars of it. I never knew it was this popular

I'm working on a humanoid avatar with half arms and legs.
Unity won't allow me to upload because I don't have anything weight painted to upper arms and legs.
What can I do to resolve this issue if I'm missing important parts for the skeleton to control?

That's really weird. I did something similar with an avatar and it did let me upload it despite the arms not being weight painted. Are all the bones properly there even if they aren't weight painted? I think VRChat gets picky when one is missing and unity humanoid rig as well if the bone is essential. Can you take a picture or copypaste the exact error you get?

Especially any kind of software issues with blender. As for actually modelimg the figure any kind of artistic knowledge of anatomy or just anime drawing will help out. You'll also want a really good Front and Side image to guide your mesh.

Essentially there is like one tutorial on YouTube about 2d visemes or eye blinking. What you are basically doing is creating one image usually a 2k one full of different mouth textures you want to use.

Then what you do is select a large enough of faces/vertices around the mouth area of your model and duplicate it. You'll then go into the UV image editor and load up that mouth image and then select the duplicated mesh and drag that area towards the mouth you want to represent within that UV image.

Once you have one mouth done you repeat the same process for all the other mouths. And once they're all finished mapped you create key shapes with those and use them as Visemes.

I know it's kind of hard to explain but it's relatively easy once you figure it out. Wish I could explain this better.

Pretty sure this isn't a case of right or wrong way of doing it, it might just be easier one way compared to the other. Number of scripts doesn't really matter, just the number of bones being calculated (specifically long bone chains and colliders have a greater impact on performance). In this case the number of bones is the same whether you're using Chest as a root and excluding everything but the breast bones, or using the Breast bones as roots.
The main difference being if your Breast bones are parented under the Chest individually, then you'll need one script for each breast and so it becomes more tedious to tweak the bone settings.

There are shaders you can find that cycle through images; particle systems also have the inbuilt spritesheet function to have one particle animate and cycle through images over its lifetime. (basically you set up your image so that the 3 pictures are side-by-side in one image)

I'm personally working on an IMU/rgb camera sensor fusion project as a /diy/ tracker, which I'll post progress in the thread once I have something to show. I got the demo orientation code working last friday (not my gif, but the same thing). I'm gonna print out some aruco fiducials and do camera calibration today.
