I have a performance question. How are people getting ninety frames in this game? I thought my rig was decent with an i5-6600K and a GTX 1070, but I can never get more than around 45 frames.

Once you drop below 90, it goes down to 45 in most cases to keep things synced to the refresh rate, there is typically no in between, you usually either get 90, 45, or any number less than 45.

You may have been unlucky in the silicon lottery then, or your automatic configuration is being very conservative with voltage. If you have an unlocked CPU, you can just bump the clock speed up in 100MHz increments and test for stability. The last CPU I had was a i5-6500, non-k series apparently can't overclock usually but there is a way to do it via old bios drivers or something, I followed that guide and also had the same issue, which is why I bought this CPU... which also has the same issue, making me think it's the fault of the motherboard.

I was able to overclock from 4.0 to 4.2 by going in literally .1 increments, because even setting the clock or whatever the setting is called from 100 to 101 failed to start.

well i did it, i caved and bought the xbox 1 kinect off ebay for like 80 bucks, including it's adapter. I'll see how it goes in another week or so. Hopefully it's not as much as a terrible attempt compared to trying to get a refurbished 360 kinect to work with a dysfunctional adapter.

I hope HF understands that they need to make a transition from vrchat as effortless as possible if they want to capture the social vr playerbase. It's a social network, the longer they wait the bigger the inertia will get and we'll be stuck with whoever was first regardless of who has the best system. Even if the vast majority of potential users don't have vr yet and haven't picked a system.

This is that problem where the group incentive is to move but the individual incentive is the stay with the group that traps communities in bad situations.Maybe we'll be okay because the next big wave of new players will adopt another system like HF or maybe not.

The reason I don't trust HF is because it's SL, and I'm positive I won't be able to use any of the copyrighted characters I have.
