How the fuck do hip bones work? I've got my hip bone set to an exact 180 degrees from each leg in Blender, but once I put it in Unity it just ignores it when I'm rigging. I'm not sure if that's just because the humanoid rig likes it to be at the 89 degree mark or something, but every time it just acts as though the bones aren't aligned when I know they are, and the little angle warning pops up when I go to the build screen.

so here's a question, since im a bit of a brainlet when it comes to blender, though i do try.
on the right, the harness/belt is seperate mesh fbxs.
on the left, i tried reimporting the belt into the blender project for the nun and weight painting it. no idea if it worked or not, havent loaded it yet- however, no texture shows on the belt model, despite the texture clearly being assigned in blender. this is because of it being an fbx imported back into blender.
with a model, normally you can just hit "fix" and it cleans it up, but with a non-model mesh? I have no idea.
what do I do in blender when re-importing an fbx mesh to ''fix" it?

What's the best and/or easiest way to fix up proportions for full body tracking? I just got my setup recently, and I immediately noticed the problem I knew would happen, that is the feet being aligned with my avatar's shins/calves.

Everything that could have gone wrong happened, and I had to start a bunch of things over because of my mess ups.
Doing this with almost no knowledge of Unity and just a bit of Blender took me about a good 3 - 4 weeks to get the main things completed. Nowadays I'm just tweaking or adding things to the model because you do most of the work the first 90% of the time and the rest is just fluff and corrections.
The time required always depends on the complexity of the model, but something similar would take me a week or two depending if I fuck up a step and have to start over. Also taken into consideration that I didn't do a sculpting workflow but instead a polygon one most likely changes this time.

I took a base model off of DA, it was a custom one since most of the TDA models don't match my avatar's proportions.
After that I did a head transplant to the base. The proportions on this base match the original model fairly well.
Then I took the panties from my old model and painstakingly put them on the base.
So after all that, I have a base model with my head that I can stick clothes on. I still have to mess around with the clothes to get them to match up but I learned enough why trying to put panties on that it's not too hard.
