So I recently got a vr head set. All was fine, but the more I got to use it I started to notice things.
For example every so often 2d screen Im using now appears to have depth sometimes, and that the box I'm typing it is floating above the web page. Its very slight but its there.
I am prone to having visual hallucinations at night if I wake up in the middle of the night.
So when I woke last night everything was slightly pixellated as if I was looking through the eyes of the rift.
Shit is fucking with my head now, not sure if I should continue to use it, I even get that weird 3D depth effect irl.

I checked the profiler and it went up by 20 draw calls with all 200 mesh particles running at once, so that's what I was thinking too. That is a pretty big jump up from your 20, though, so maybe I'll give it a test in a populated public instance to see if it has any impact.

There there. Honestly it just sounds like you've just been a bit unlucky. Public worlds aren't usually that bad. Although I mostly just hang out playing Battledisc when I'm not in friends/friends+/meetups. You do however get tons of Desktoppers as well the occasional thot with orbiters in most of the popular maps. I've only ever had one bad comment about headpatting/kissing in public worlds and even then everyone else either ignored it or encouraged it.

The VR DJ thing? I tried it a month ago, just messing around by myself, and it's a pretty cool demo, but nowhere near complete. The DJ station is primitive and you can't use custom songs, but it's kinda fun to actually grab discs and twiddle knobs and faders and use the XYZ pads to affect the sound. It's probably more fun with other people, but you're also stuck with the same legless bigscreen-style ugly avatars last I checked.
5/10, has potential as a VR version of tracktor or something, but if you're just looking to dance, VRC blows it out of the water.

Once posed go to object mode on the mesh, duplicate the armature modifier by hitting copy and apply one of them. Go back to pose mode, selects all bones and apply as rest pose. Viola.

You need to reduce the weight painting on the bones (by a good amount), or remove them entirely for the skirt fix to work properly/look nice. Those bones are still pulling on the skirt, even if they aren't set to be dynamic.

It has been advertised that the Pro can support more than 2 base stations in order to increase range and stability, but our testing shows that SteamVR refuses to play nicely with more than 2 base stations, nor with the increased play area.

At this stage we're keeping it simple and just trying to get the larger play-space going. No multiplayer yet. We've got multiple Pros, so setting up 4 lighthouses wasn't a problem. It was getting SteamVR to actually work with the setup that's throwing us off.
Since the Pro came out only a short while ago, there is little to no documentation regarding this so-called new feature that the Pro is reportedly capable of.
