Haven't done it myself, but I think people copy the part of the mesh that you want to use as a texture swap, translate it slightly behind the real mesh (e.g. inside your head) on the basis shapekey, then add a shapekey to translate it out in front your regular face mesh again, hiding the original.Then you can UV unwrap the copied mesh, add the modified parts of your textures onto your atlas, and just use the usual animation overrides to trigger the shapekey.

If I had to guess, it's the movie files downloaded whenever I hang out in the amphitheater.

I use MorphVox Pro with the Text-To-Voip plugin, as well as as VB-Audio Virtual Cable and a VB-Audio Hi-Fi Cable (the latter two are both free virtual cable programs, not actual cables) I have the microphone for morphvox set to the hi-fi cable output and the playback device set to the other virtual cable's input, and then I set my microphone in vrchat to the latter cable's output.
