Trying to set up eye tracking but for some reason my right eye's iris looks scuffed, it sometimes goes out of the eye like pic related. Has anyone had any similar problem before? I thimk it's really a matter of having a slight change of culture of /vrg/ to also discuss other VR games, as currently this is a VRChat general - in stark contrast to the nature of the first 50-100 threads.
I don't think it's the case that people stopped discussing other VR games out of a lack of interest (indeed there are several threads every day discussing VR games in general on /v/), but rather the perception that this thread is only about VRChat. Not least since almost nobody is willing to take up discussion on other VRGames, and since multiplayer sessions in other VR games are not organised.
The period of drama fagging was the tipping point where everyone who wasn't particulary interesting in VRChat left, but I do think it'd be worth readjusting the thread to discuss more VR games. Perhaps including information on recent released in the OP, and just generally playing other games together (sims or anything else).

Why do some games (VRChat, Onward, Pavlov, GORN) get artificial locomotion perfectly without any problems, yet almost every other game that tries to add it end up glitchy and unresponsive? In Arizona Sunshine, Undead Development, and BAM VR the game will occasionally flat out not pick up my inputs for a few seconds until I fiddle with the joystick. It's really annoying trying to walk somewhere only to stop entirely despite still tilting the joystick and having to try and figure out what's causing it

One of my models has a weird problem, maybe someone can help me out. I put all my avatar descriptors at Z 0.01 and it usually works good for kissing other people and my model actually touching it's face when I touch my Vive. One model is fine when standing, but when I kneel/sit/lay down my descriptor seems to move to my neck and I have my model obstructing my view. Anyone know a fix?

is that the eye bone for that eye there? doesnt look like its in the correct place. sometimes the eye bones generated by the eye tracking tool doesnt place them correctly. make sure the bones are upright and aligned behind each eye properly. you can just move therm in edit mode then test the positioning with the cats eye tracking thing. the further back the bone is the more pronounced the eye movement is.

Also are those standard or similarly lit shaders? if so check their normals in blender and make sure they're all facing outwards. you can also try recalculating them in unity under the import settings.
incorrect normals often cause baked objects to appear pitch black because unity thinks the faces on the object are facing "inwards" and thus are the inside of the object and should not receive any light.

It isn't. Your headset only runs at 90 FPS, so if it can't reach 90, it will halve it to 45 and generate an interpolated frame. If it can't reach 45, it caps at 22.5 with three interpolated frames. If it can't maintain 22.5, it won't generate frames as fast as you can look around.

"Fixed" it by disabling antiatlasing in the rift options. I wasn't getting that smooth hand movement in oculus home either but once you disable that shit it's so fucking smooth. Goes at 90fps too in "another home" world though I had to disable supersampling and other steamvr settings. There's such a big difference.
