Catchup spoiler is Charles Dexter Ward vanished from an insane assylum after doing lengthy investigations on his ancestor Joseph Curwen who had been communicating with dead and creating horrible abominations before his death. Story is told like a past-tense report so we're up to the part where Ward actually goes mad and becomes physically mutated, at the start of the story it's stated he barely ages and has almost no metabolism or need for food.

Give me a quick rundown on the /vrg/mansion. Who are we supposed to submit rooms to? Are we supposed to send prefabs? How big should the filesize be, and how many materials? What kind of rooms should we make - just bedrooms, or whatever we want? I've heard it might be a hub of portals, which sounds easier.

How long should bonechains in a skirt be at max? I brought it down to 6 from 18 bones but I'm worried it will look bad with dynbones in blender.

Since you're effectively removing bones, the vertex groups assigned to those bones aren't being used anymore. All you need to do after getting the bone number down is to weight paint it all properly - which, may I add, is a lot easier to do from scratch (assuming the skirt is simple) than mixing the existing various vertex groups, specially when the initial number was so high - the weight assigned to each bone is smaller. Mixing is doable but will take longer.

Hey anon, I recently learned weightpainting too. It's not that hard, just look at some models that are already weight painted and try to copy. Play around with the brushes and sizes and eventually you'll find a process that works for you. All you gotta do is just go in weightpaint view and then look trough the vertex groups. If you don't know how to change the brush click the tools tab on the left side and there you will have the options.

Obviously you won't get it right the first time, but with some practice you'll get better and better.

If I was to make (another) vrc world that many people would hang out in, what would you want to see in it?
My VRC kung fu powers are unlimited and likely only matched by the actual devs of the game (and maybe not even then). I'm also normally unmotivated as fuck and work full time.
I did however release a world recently that is beyond insanely well optimized (it's seriously better performing then empty cube) but it actually has interesting stuff in it.

Recurring threads in any context are cancer. If faggots are having the same thread every day to the point where they're establishing identities, it's a problem and they should have been driven off in 2011 or so. The issue regarding general threads had come up repeatedly over the years, and generals were completely banned on 4chan several times but they always came back.
Eventually the problem became so bad on /v/ (largely due to league of legends being so popular and spamming the board with general threads that would cap out and sit as they went on to a new one) they realized something had to be done and /vg/ was created.
This place is literally a containment board for one of the greatest and most persistent cancers that has ever plagued the site. If you were really a hardcore purist you'd be upset about the fact that generals were allowed on the site period, but everyone who even is old enough to remember this conflict has pretty much given up. Getting snooty about 4chan purism while being a willing contributor to any general thread is beyond stupid and completely blind to the framework which you exist in.

Generals are a problem because they break the core self-moderation feature of 4chan, the ability to sage or ignore low-quality threads. Identity is mostly the same as it's always been. Before generals were big, each board (save perhaps for /b/) was only about the size of a general.
