I changed my thinking in feburary, I was one of the ones that got left out hard on the spin the bottle meme that was exploding around that time. I didn't do lewd stuff and my answers were never interesting so it's really no surprise, but it stung having multiple invites ignored by people I thought I was really tight with.
So I decided just to stop worrying about inner circles and to swear off private rooms and just concentrate on having fun at the meetup and making sure that the other people not cool enough to get into the private rooms had fun too.

Changing my way of thinking made me MUCH happier, I was on the verge of ghosting ny way out of the community prior to that.

You can just pose the avatar in blender with pose mode, and then move it to shapekey. Delete all the other shapekeys and rename the shapekey you did to basis and then delete the armature. Also atlas it or whatever as well. Probably decimate too, since its a prop and not an actual avatar. Doesn't matter too much because it'll no longer be a skinned mesh renderer in untiy without the armature.

Be sure to download the custom song mod for Beat Saber once you've gotten enough practice from the built-in songs. It's nice to have a lot more songs to play, even if not all of the beatmaps are great. I haven't heard anyone talk about Thrill of the Fight yet here. Boxing seems like it'd be fun in VR though, I might have to pick it up eventually. VRChat is still an unoptimized mess, but there aren't really any alternatives right now, so it's all we've got.

I'll admit I don't know much about model trains (my side is wargaming) but is the workflow that different for commercial miniature engines? A lot of stuff these days starts as 3d originals that are printed at one point or another during production. We need to foster first of all a "who gives a fuck": The game is unregulated and there's no conceivable way to regulate it, just like the real world. No game master is going to show up with a mirror in your inventory that exposes who you are in the real world to the other players in "sword art online". For the longest time I was a pretty big advocate of not just sitting around in private worlds all day due to it taking the novelty and fun out of VRchat. As of recent though I'd honestly say public worlds have reached the lowest they've ever been in this game.
