Well somebody informed somebody how to samefag so I have seen it done lately. Sorry if you are just an anon, the steam group was created months ago when I got census from the group in VRChat. They approved of it, thread was fire and fury about it, then again a discord was the same subject. The same few people who have a problem with everything done demonstrated the same "REEE DELET THIS" behavior. This group is impossibly hard to gauge census, or even get a fair vote together, but the steam group didn't kill your damn family and its not hurting you by existing. I keep it updated as a calendar and mirror events or create them while talking to the meets. Also the same like, three or so people keep trying to worm the change in so talk to them about it, because this changing conflict is absolutely stupid.

It's not that blender is hard to use, it's just as good as other 3d modelling software once you know how to 3d model. The problem with blender is that before you can even get to the fundamentals of modelling, you need to learn the completely fucked up interface.
It has tons of asinine shortcuts, an interface designed by someone who's never used computers before, windows that don't behave like windows on literally every other software ever made for windows linux and mac, no intuitive "reset my interface to something sane" button.
I'm not talking about using CATS EZmode one button script. I'm talking about modeling from literal scratch and creating your own morphs and shapekeys and weight painting.
Meta is $25, and with literally the help menu's 15 page tutorial a 10yo could use it and start making models with every bit of or better quality than anything made in blender... and I know, because I've taught 10yos to use it.
I think the interface on blender is so bad that it's the main reason why people shell out thousands of dollars for Maya. Try getting a professional modelling job when all you know is blender.
One glance at the metaseq or hell even Maya UIs and you understand what's going on and can start to dick around. I learned to make models in meta in 4 days around a decade ago when it was hot garbage. Blender is based on a proprietary animation software released decade go, maya and software like meta were designed as modern 3d modelling suites. Blender could be a contender, but since the developers live in their own little world with the attitude that their app is made for a "certain group of people and not everyone", the application is basically a sick joke.
There is literally NO REASON to use blender other than maybe to render now and then or use a script like cats because it's free. It's like arguing that real brush and paint and drawing stick figures makes you a better artist than someone using a tablet and SAI or CSP or Illustrator.

VRchat can be a good thing or a bad thing depending how you approach its use.
It can be used to harmlessly vent certain emotions that you don't get to use IRL and this can be perfectly healthy.
It can also be used to feed obsessions, which is essentially the same process in reverse, and will have the same effect on your real life as blocking the toilet.

Right, it's vrchat's fault. I mean, kinect would probably be really good too if you could plug in the full skeleton to your body pose instead of just the 6 point armature with IK trying to paper over the rest. It does a good job of course, but my elbows still fly all over the place sometime.

IIRC altspace VR or high fidelity had 7point body tracking, with an extra vive puck on your chest. That solves the not being about to bend your chest over in VRC, but it's just one small step in the right direction.

I'm technically part time too, because in my state 40 hrs/week guarantees benefits. I was working one job where mandatory over time was consistently putting me at 65-70hrs a week and that was one of the worst jobs of my life. The money/hours aren't even worth it when you lose more of your over time to taxes and never fucking have the time to even spend the money. I have tried, it doesn't work out.
I even had a job as a night janitor but I just couldn't keep it up, i'd have a panic attack every time I bumped into security or someone working late.
I had a job working for the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) which I was able to maintain for about six months but again it was getting so stressful for me I was having attacks.
I tried making custom pyrolyzed wood items too but there were always reasons why I had to interact with people and I just couldn't maintain it. I was laying awake in bed at night, cursing my own existence and terrified that I would have to talk to someone face to face in the morning.
