Like all dancing, it doesn't matter what you look like as long as you enjoy yourself. That being said, most of the club maps have mirrors or cameras so you can watch yourself move your body and try out what looks cool to you. Without FBT, try moving your head around a lot more than what feels natural, since that makes the rest of your body move and your feet shuffle around by way of IK.

If you want more guidance to specific moves and songs there are a few maps in VRChat that just show videos of Let's Dance, that kinect dancing game. No scoring, but you can just copy the movements along with it, it's fun. Ask around at the meetups, I'm still trying to find some people to go to those maps with me again.

I use single rubber bands for my feet trackers, just looped under my feet, but they're pretty floppy. Wearing socks helps keep them slightly more stable. Striped thigh-highs optional. For my hips I use a belt and some twist-ties around the crenelations on the tracker.

As someone that went from a 760>1080ti, I can tell you it's not a huge difference eon graohics: it's input.
Throwing, shooting, etc are just a million times more accurate. I could play games on the 760, but on the 1080 I could actually hit things. Everything moved like butter.

That's overly complicated and you don't even need VS. You literally just need Asset Studio (free download from github), Unity (if you're making models you should already have this) and Notepad++ (you could use regular notepad but fuck you)

However, this could be used in a private world after wiping your cache to save your avatar if you lost the unity package in order to not have to redo everything in Blender for your decimation and shit or to get your friend to stop being a retard and using 30 materials and a fuckton of useless dynamic bones if you use this (the materials and shit like this DO pop up in text files) then teach them HOW to do this and why optimization is important. TL;DR don't be a retard, and there's better ways to steal avatars anyway.

Also consider that encrypting these files with any sort of fucking encryption would slow the game down even more by needing more CPU time to decode these on the fly, so don't be a piece of shit and ruin it for everyone.

If you rip something out of the cache, the admins can't auto-detect that you've taken a copy of the file. It's also a very time consuming process and you don't get the full product. Worst case scenario, you get a box of mangled waifu trash, and best case scenario is that you get a fully rigged and decimated .fbx with the materials that you still need to import into Unity, without gestures and without shaders, without dynamic bones, etc. Using a modified client (or ripping them out of RAM which would modify VRChat's memory) is very easy to protect against. Flag a player using a modified client, wait a certain amount of time, then use a ban wave to flush them out. It's how VAC operates, and it may not be ideal, but it somewhat helps. Or deny entry to any world except private, invite-only worlds when using a modified client. One is mischief that is purely pathetic, the other is a giant piss off because that's how people can "change to your avatar" in front of you, and it can give them a complete copy of your avatar... that's non-editable, and if you delete it and reupload it to VRC's servers, their copy is deleted too.

It's not my intellect holding me back from making something worth copying, it's the fact that I don't want to bother pouring time into learning how to make avatars, how to properly atlas them and make the performance as best as I can, and all the other necessary things (which I'd estimate would take me around 20 - 50 hrs) before pumping out a few avatars for myself and my friends, versus either paying someone a commission (who already paid for dynamic bones, and may need the money more than I do,) or just clicking a pedestal somewhere and freely using someone's avatar that they willingly are allowing others to use.

I suppose that in my case, it's previously mentioned. However, I'm sure that the people getting their avatars stolen aren't the lowly shitpost-worthy avatars someone like me have made, but instead the ones who've put many hours making custom animations and adding special effects to make their avatar completely unique, or even making it entirely from the ground up. If I put, for example, 45 hours into making an avatar and within a day of uploading it I saw a person or two steal them in front of me, then crash me (or some other BS that happens in a game like VRChat?) Yeah, I can imagine the autistic rage someone would have, especially if they're from a place like 4chan.
