Also, I just tried the Dell VRP100/WMR thing at a brick and mortar store, but the SDE wasn't nearly as bad as I'd imagined, and I hear Oculus looks better despite the lower resolution. One thing that kinda bugged me was that the FOV kinda felt more like binoculars than goggles. Does anyone know how much better the oculus/vive are in comparison?

All headsets can do FBT now. Most headsets have enough space to fit normal glasses. Dunno about big headphones because the oculus headphones do fine. At minimum I'd say 1.5 meter by 1.5 meters, give or take. I could run GTAV on max settings when I played at 1080p 60fps. I'm lucky if I get 20fps at a meetup

FBT is strapping these plastic pucks to your hips and feet so you can dance and lay down and move your feet around in VRChat. It's really only for VRC though, no other game uses feet trackers. See >>224759008 for some of the experience.

FBT is possible on the rift, just even more expensive to buy the basestations as well as the cuckpucks (+$600 US, probably like $1000+ outside of burgerland). It's also slightly harder to set up than pure vive, but it works fine once you do. In your case, it's probably best to buy a rift first, play a lot, and if FBT seems like something you want, start saving, and buy the basestations, or sell your rift and get a vive + trackers.

The devs are incompetent for many other reasons, but having your avatar "stolen" (copied) is a fundamentally impossible thing to "fix". It's probably easier to see it in perspective to other AAA games with assets that get ripped. Monster Hunter came out days ago, and already people are figuring out how to rip the assets. Companies spend millions on "DRM" to encumber their games, and shit still gets ripped. You can make it harder to rip avatars than the VRChat devs did for sure, but it's a bandaid, not a fix.

It's not for where the cable is spatially, but for cable twisting, e.g. when you keep turning around the same direction.
