All these anons talking good about the discord and how us people who prefer to actually use the thread which is literally the foundation of our VR community are retards seem to keep forgetting that the majority of VR talk is in the discord. One of the few reasons I'm in the discord besides lobby pings is to repost crap from the discord here as half the crap posted there doesn't show here for days. I keep trying to start a conversation here, I keep posting news and games and new cool VR things here, but all that usually happens is at most 5 related posts. However when I look at the discord I see people saying "oh look at that post in the thread about X, what do you think about it?" and the entirety of the conversation regarding it sits purely in the discord.

Basic vive cost 800$ usd, used oculus rift about 450$. The prices are fucked up because of no official distribution and eu taxes and nobody really care for vr here. Windows mr isn't avaiable at all.

Index's specs are clearly better than the Vive Pro's. The only point of the pro now is the wireless adapter. The pro should be much more expensive, too. A regular vive is a lot cheaper than the pro, but if you're not getting it for wireless, it's going to be replaced by the Index someday. I've only used original vive in 2016 for 30min and I was really dissapointed by the sde and fov so I was waiting this whole time for gen2. It cant be about anonymity because the most popular game played here is literally a glorified social platform where people have actively become friends and grown "cliques" with other anons, which would've happened regardless of discord existing because again its a glorified social platform.

Not to mention using a Discord for the explicit purpose of keeping everyone updated with events makes sense; I.e

Why is my beat saber so fucked? I get constant 90fps while playing on max settings but constant stutters every 10-20 seconds that make me miss notes. Even after putting everything on low it still stutters. The only mods I've installed are custom songs & colours. At release I had no such issues and re-installing didn't fix it.
