I'm working on creating a site/YouTube channel centered around VR content. Is there anything you all want to see?

I've written a 'deep dive' type article on Pavlov explaining what each setting does (since a lot are not documented or clear or even functional), what the controls are across platforms (and how the settings impact them) along with info about the game modes etc.

I also want to have a base of content to point back to, how to install sideloaded applications, how to run them, full walk throughs of Oculus Home features (most people seem unaware of their avatar features for example).

I'm aiming for clear, concise, non-clickbait-y content that people will actually care about (though I don't know if anyone cares about anything I've described). What do you all think?

Hi vrg, I've set up a multiplayer minecraft/vivecraft server. Come play the meme game of the 2010s with anons tomorrow night. The server will be up 24/7 if you can't make the times listed, but it'll be more fun to explore the new world in a group I think.

If you've never played minecraft somehow, it's a solid video game with VR support, and if you have played minecraft but dropped it years ago, VR adds a lot of the magic back. I encourage you to try it out singleplayer first to figure out the controls in vivecraft (and tweak if necessary), even if you don't want to play on the server.

I don't feel this way at all. In fact I feel like being in vr makes me believe I could be, and should be, being something more productive with my time which means being at my desktop doing more thigns on my dual monitor setup. Part of the problem is me not making the jump to w10 yet and utilizing oculus dash, and the other part is there's simply not any games that are massive timesink things that I'm enjoying at the moment, like Sims or citybuiling 4x stuff.

Home along on a fridey night? Just remember, you can come play vivecraft in an hour. Actually you can play right now. The server is now open so we can work out any login issues. instructions:

- Grab the 1.13.2 installer from http://www.vivecraft.org/downloads/
- Install the game (remember to enable binaural audio)
- launch the game, start a single player world
- familiarize yourself with the controls http://www.vivecraft.org/how-to-play/ . It'll start you off with teleport movement which is lame. go into the settings menu, VR settings, locomotion options, free move mode. VR settings -> buttons lets you rebind stuff
- Once you're mostly happy with your bindings, close your singleplayer game, go to the multiplayer menu
- Add server, enter `vrgcraft.space` as the server address, and connect
- if you have a mojang account it should just work. if you're on a cracked client, you'll have to enter `/register <password>` in the text chat first.
- hopefully everything worked. Post in the thread or the mumble if you have any issues.

Once you're in, you can hang around and punch some trees, or wait an hour for more people to show up.

If you want in on the stallman-approved trannyproof mumble voice chat:

- download the mumble 1.3.0-rc1 client

Maybe it's just autism but I make a folder and scene for every avatar or major variation. Makes everything load a lot faster. I think the issue lies in the soureness of these kind of anons. The ones who hate vrchat content are very limited, yet they force their agenda into the thread. I'm kind of curious, how long have you been on 4chan? There's always been identifiable people as long as I've been here. I grew up on /a/, and you could identify people as that guy who scanalates that one manga, that guy who has really strong opinions about haruhi and shits up every thread, and so on.
And that's before you even get into the nature of /vrg/, every thread has identifiable posters. People obsessed with a single character, people's names in games that everyone plays together, and so on.
The extremely violent reaction that some of guys have against any breach of anonymity puzzles me somewhat. Raging an hour over a project screenshot is far more disruptive than the screenshot itself.

I think the root issue here is a bit different, though. One of the reasons that I think the thread sucks is that we've maintained a culture of fear where people can't post the content they used to.
You can't post pictures of projects, because someone will sperg out about you for an hour.
Can't post videos of you doing well in pavlov or something, people will flame you for boasting.
Can't post screenshots of what you're doing in any game if they're identifiable.
Some of the content creation groups can't even post what they're up to without someone who hates someone who is in the group comes along and shits the place up.

That really leaves the thread kind of content deprived. There's nothing to do on slow news days, and people don't post about what they're up to anymore...so all we're left with is a dead thread full of shitposting.

yea there's boards and threads that have their own culture of freedom of speech along with a static identity attached to their activities in that thread simply because it's impossible to not create one because the on topic activity of that community creates one for you.
It's hard to be purely anon when you're a spriter or coder or you rp the same way every round and post greentext. It's hard to be purely anon when you're the only person making a 2D top down loli kidnapping simulator. That previous Forest playthrough that happened lasted for almost 2 months due to the vrchat anons branching off and going into another game that isn't vrchat for a while.

VR requires a hub to collect its limited selection of VR players that are not normies, and are willing to play with autistic 4chan types. This might be hard to accept, but splits were attempted, and the results to that were garnered. You can keep trying, but VRChat is the thing keeping this strange thread alive. The thread doesn't have to be a shitting ground regardless of anything mentioned. Just post some content and play some VRgames, being one of the few completely out of the vrchat anons doesn't stop you from playing games or talking about them.

You can definitely upload avatars to NeosVR. It's even rigged in-game. If you have a VRchat avatar uploaded already in your computer somewhere. You literally just find and open the fbx file in-game and other people can help you as well.

NeosVR is more akin to multi-player Unity to a t. You can even get viruses from other people! You literally share files.

For Mozilla WebVR I don't think there is a way to be anything other than a robot avatar for the moment.
