When I extend my arms irl they are still flexed in VR. This only happens with certain avatars and I cant quite tell what makes this happen exactly. I tried to make the arms smaller/bigger but it doesn't seem to make any difference

We're playing VRChat and Pavlov, so those two have some decent replay value. Racing sims are endlessly amusing, but it's a niche and you have to be into it. Elite Dangerous is good for first ~30-40h (so it's definitely worth a try), then you either get friends or your enthusiasm dies off. Beat Saber is obviously good, it's one of the titles that sell VR to new users.

I can barely move without feeling like dying, so I'm going to just call off my mountain climbing expedition, and save it for another day, sorry anons. Here's some screens of the carnival climbing map, though.

I learned that the map is a bit glitchy, and there's a decent chance you'll find yourself clipped inside the mountain sometimes, and it takes a little wiggling around and experimenting to free yourself, so be careful not to venture into any holes in the mountain's mesh!

Here's base one! We took a little while to get to this point, cause my friend kept falling off every now and again, or sliding inside the rock, only to get flung out of it like a canon.

After base 1, you can see snow a little higher up, and so I used that to motivate him to continue climbing, but after a while he began to insist that the snow effect wasn't real, and that we'd never get to it.

After getting to the next checkpoint, he'd had all he could handle, so we decided to jump down, and boy was it a long, long fall back down to the ground. I'll get to the top next time, gomenasai

Not exactly. Sony is paying devs to make games. Oculus funds some too but they're not as big/soulful as the jap devs like the ones who worked on Astrobots. There is certainly soul to be seen in indie devs working on the platform however. Look at Tea for God. It's surprisingly unique even in the early state it's in, and it certainly can't be played on any other platform to its full potential except on a wireless PC headset which the Quest can be if you have the router for it.

Well lads, today marks one year since I joined /vrg/. Pic related my first contact. We played Jackbox on the big screen though the player didn't work for me. Since then I've met so many amazing people and made so many close friends. Without even trying you have made my life just so much better and saved me from the horrible loneliness that had consumed me for the past god knows how many years. With your encouragement I've found new hobbies, learned new skills, become more confident and open, and most importantly made memories I'll carry forever. I've put together a quick video of every screenshot I've taken and saved and every piece of OC, be it in game or from the thread or wherever, and left it uncensored because good or bad it's all part of it. I saved some shitposts that I thought were funny and some vagueposts I thought were about me so have a flick through and see if yours made the cut and make better posts next time if they didn't. I mean, I doubt they actually were about me but even if it's someone just talking nonsense sometimes the timing is just so good I can't help but laugh. I have social anxiety issues but I do try my best to start formal conversations in this game with casual compliments and such. Thing is, every time I try I end up getting ignored. Your wings had an alpha transparency part around the feather. You'd either have to enable transparency on the atlas or just exclude the wings entirely from being atlas'd and set a cutoff/alpha trans shader in unity. this is pretty common for feathered wings. :/

I only notice the reflections in Beat Saber. If I look down in the main menu, I have a perfect small reflection of the menu in the middle of the FOV. I've never noticed it in game play, but I'm particularly good at ignoring that kind of thing so maybe it's worse for others.

The grip is changed from a toggle button to an axis, so it needs to be rebound to something else because it will either be too sensitive, or won't accept the input at all. When I played the Forest, I couldn't figure out how to drop anything.

Problem is that Dave's hardcoding disallows you from increasing prices due to scuff, and decreasing them is funky in that it requires you to have the original price, but only subtracts the altered new amount. If you increased the prices, you'd be able to buy the guns anyway and go into the negatives, possibly causing a buffer overflow.
just due to how VR works though, stuff like the deagle and revolver are always gonna be strong as shit if they're not expensive as aiming is easy as piss and recoil is no longer a forcibly slowed rate of fire mechanic and can be easily fought on the handguns, and other solutions like inaccuracy feel horrible to play with

The SMGs need balance too. I see almost no reason to use the P90 when it's more expensive than the Bizon, has less armor pen, pays less per kill and all you get for it is a few extra bullets per mag. you could even buy two Uzis for less than the cost of a P90.

the only requirement for the deagle to be functional is landing bodyshots while onehanding a gun, since pistols are unbound from your second hand's movement, where it does alright since 3 shots to kill isn't that bad unless you have to aim after each shot
if you can land headshots why buy anything else past a point
if you remove the headshot instakill, it suddenly has a time to kill ceiling of at least 2 shots, assumedly open headshot then land anything- makes it basically revolver ttk without having the luxury of only bodyshots needed but without the downside of long reloads
dropping instant headshot would effectively make the revolver better in all cases unless you want to charge, in which the ammo count+reload speed makes the deagle better
dunno it could work but it'd be a super unpopular change, with more public support it could be tested if someone wants to edit stuff

It's very good if you're the kind of person that plays the same games obsessively instead of wanting a new story driven experience every month. Beat Saber, Pavlov, B&S, H3VR, Asetto Corsa, etc. have near infinite appeal for some. I suddenly understood the appeal of VRchat too when I started using Index. I don't know if it's the higher frame rate I get, the wider FOV, or improved visuals, but it's a lot more immersive and makes me feel things I didn't before.
