You don't need to pull the bolt back if you reload before your magazine is empty. Also, try to control how many shots you shoot. Your spray control is good, but it's not something you can rely on all the time with the AKM, especially against multiple opponents. Try to shoot 2-3 at a time with the AKM. If the balance of the match is still even, don't be afraid to retreat if you get a few shots in and can't finish them off, because those shots will hurt more than other guns. Let them come to you wounded.

It's fully tracked motion controls. Way better than Subnautica but still clearly designed as a flat game first. Interaction with most things is remote and gestural, rather than directly physical, but you get used to it. It's probably the best motion control implementation added to a flat game so far.

Starship controls make use of the hands so I give that part a thumbs up. Don't have a HOTAS setup so no idea if that can be used to override the motion controllers.
Haven't tried an exocraft so can't comment there. It's probably similar to starship controls?
Multitool controls feel similar to FO4VR. Shoot with trigger, push button to reload, and so on. They lack sights so you're just hipfiring and hoping you hit. Not too much of an issue since typical on-foot engagement ranges are extremely short.
Menus and inventory are still the same old pain-in-the-ass but that's VR game issues in general.
UI implementation for VR is shit. I'm not sure why they thought it was a good idea to stick UI aspects at the corners of the screen which is difficult to see in VR.
Default bindings are absolute shit. I suggest you redo it.

All-in-all, a rather relaxing game in VR IMO.

Slaughtering all the demons. Full release soon! Brown cat did an amazing marathon on this map. Probably one of the best map in VRchat once it gets released; just in terms of complexity and fun. It may not be super repeatable like the social games of Jar but the polish it has just feels so good to play through.

Just got RMAknucks, and they do look like Valve has a V2 going out now.
Notable differences, from outside-in:
Cardboard box is now Valve-themed. Upright warning is now a companion cube, stuff like that. Neat but extremely minor, don't think day-1s had this. Also says Assembled in China.
New box. Color is slightly more faded grey instead of black.
Controllers look identical overall, although nylon cord that sticks out of the inside area of each controller (what you use to adjust the backhand strap) is no longer solid black, instead black w/ grey like the handstraps themselves.

That's all just little differences that tipped me off, but as far as actual performance is concerned:
Left joystick down-left is what drifted for me. Never had any clicking issues whatsoever personally. New controller click however is much more tactile than old, replaced controllers.
While old controllers did click down when directly upwards/downwards, they lacked a lot of the volume and tactility that you would expect- might have been what people were bitching about, but they certainly did click still. New ones however are xbox/ps4 "established norms" tactile and feel nicer, although this is personally a minor improvement, but points to the fact that these might be overhauled and fixed.
Anyway just RMA and follow instructions if your Index remotes bust, they have one of the best replacement programs I've ever seen and you lose nothing doing it.

Movement never worked correctly due to the stick failing to click often. Grip requires excessive precision to avoid things sticking to the hands that shouldn't, eg: knife when reloading, things on the floor, weapon returning to the hand instead of staying in the slot, etc. The force binding didn't help at all. The problem I have with the grip in Pavlov and other fps is that grabbing the gun is boolean, you're either grabbing the gun or not. With the touch controller it's obvious if you're pressing down the grip button or not. But on the index you're always holding the controller, so the grip on/off depends on how hard you're squeezing. And it simultaneously feels too sensitive (sometimes you just accidentally grab the knife) and not sensitive enough (can't let go of a gun unless you explicitly open your palm wide open). Arguably more immersive than holding down a button to grab, but way sloppier in practice.

If I could use my rift cv1 touch controllers with the index headset, I would in a heartbeat.
