The loss of a few degrees of stereo overlap is a non-issue. It's only in the extreme periphery where there is no stereo overlap, areas where your IRL eyes don't even have stereo overlap. The only real downside to the Index is the lenses

It would be nice to have some pavlov newbie games. Unfortunately there are two major obstacles to this, and that's that 1) there aren't enough newbies and 2) there isn't someone who will organize the newbie games.

Now is a bit different because there are a lot of very good players that kill instantly on contact so you've got to be at least somewhat competitive to not just be waiting in the death cam. However with our regular giant games that are complete shit shows anyway everyone can get kills and die to bullshit and laugh with how silly everything is so it doesn't matter so much.
I think I prefer how things are now but honestly it's just because we have so many people getting involved all together. A newbie training boot camp would be really nice to get them out of that initial can't-do-shit rut just so we can have more people having fun together.

I switch sides if it seems like I'm on a stomp team and barely even look at the number of players after that. What matters then is whether the players left towards the end of a round is close enough, if they swing too far in favor of the team I just joined then all I can do is accept that I made a mistake and wait for this already unbalanced match to end.
Just letting it go from the start isn't good enough though. It kills my desire to play when I get put onto the losing side of a complete stomp for 3 maps in a row and I imagine it's the same for others. I don't mind losing the map, I don't even mind losing it 0-10 so long as those rounds felt like we had a chance. Losing the map when the enemy barely loses one or two players each round is the problem and if we can't try to balance the teams then we might as well vote to map skip/forced shuffle as a surrender instead.

Legend of Grimrock VR will be fucking amazing. I wonder if it's ok to just outright copy everything from it if theoretically we make a dungeon game but in VR. Basically instead of 4 party members that you juggle you just have 4 people multiplayer to play. If you play solo you just shuffle around like jumping to the other characters like in Neos VR where you can just hop to another avatar at will as long as no one is controlling it.

For VRchat you should actively search for good worlds. I suggest you try vrcdoom and blonix dungeon. There are also a lot of good worlds with gameplay or narrative but it's 90% shit and 10% gold so you have to wade around.

Well lads, the death of VR chat is around the corner. Teh avalanche of shitty decisions seems to continue.

VRC will switch to unitiy 2018, which will break every single avatar. Best case scenario is that you will have to re-upload with minimal fixes.
To mek matters worse, they will also switch later to 2019, which will mean ANOTEHR total break.

But it doesn't stop there. See the devs are pissed that they cannot look inside the animator to see what you have inside. They want total control. They HATE the animator component. So the plan to remove it completely, and replace it with another component that they can fully control.

But that's not even the worst. You know the previous, very short-lived update?
Apparently, it had "flaw" that enabled a very creative use of IK and avatars. In what way? Well, let's just say that you could have an emote that spawns a persistent secondary avatar with custom animations and seats.. like a robot. You (even the spawning player, yes!) could actually SIT inside the robot and control it like a different avatar, with full access to it's emotes and animations. And it was world fixed, meaning you could jump out and someone else could get in.
It bascially allowed for insane possibilies and countless emotes in a singel avatar. And it was immediately patched out.

I tried this RoTR update and while it was improved here and there, mostly with the inventory system and the fact you can do arcade mode, it's still the same boring ass gamemode. You zoom around like a faggot without sense of purpose, it would be easier to bear if areas gradually opened up to you if you completed all the quests.

I used to love the idea of anons finally becoming the little girls. Then I played VRChat and realized how fucked up someone would likely have to be to genuinely think like that, and then I stopped liking that idea. I also used to love the idea of a 4chan in VR. I remember when we all tried to imagine how that would go, where we would have like, a /v/ mansion or something, but in VR.
