How do you get the wiggle on the camera?

Contractors recently released a beta client that allows for custom maps, game modes and an increased player cap (up to 16) I've been meaning to try this so I'll be hosting a lobby on Wednesday at 8PM EST.

If you'd like to join you'll have to download the beta client from their github https://github.com/kcmonkey1992/ContractorsModSupportPreview/releases/tag/Steam
Just download all the files with the steam prefix and extract them to one folder. From there you can just run the .exe with no problem as long as you own the base game.
When it comes to actually downloading the mods, you'll have to do that in game. It's similar to how Onward handles their mods.
Unfortunately, you can only host a lobby with a certain amount of mods loaded in based on their size, so I can only really make a lobby that has roughly 6-7 mods in it.
Make sure you have the following mods installed before joining:
-Kill confirmed and free for all game modes
-WWII loadout
-MW2 Sub Base, Wasteland and Scrapyard
-MW3 Dome

Please note that some of these mods are relatively big, they can range from 500 mb up to 1 gb. Give yourself enough time to download them before the lobby starts.

You can technically just drag the .fbx in, if you really want to.

To those of you with FBT, do you wear your hip tracker directly on your waist? on the front? the back? or somewhere else? I'm having a tough time finding a comfortable spot for it that doesn't somehow fuck up the tracking.

Technically speaking, those trackers are not 'meant' for body tracking, their main purpose is to be mounted on objects you want to have in VR. So, let's say you put tracker on top of a irl toy gun, you wire controls externally by some other controller to read trigger action, and then you have your 1:1 irl gun in your software you've just made specifically for that purpose. there's some unity plugin the nips made to do mocap with the vive trackers + finalIK and bake it into an animation. It was somewhere in vket, can't find it at a glance though.

the trackers do offer submillimeter precision which is definitely better than kinect. you could potentially use them to make 3d scans more accurate by rubbing the tracker all along the outside of an object to generate a surface point cloud. Probably more hassle than it's worth though since photogrammetry is pretty good already.

I used Ryzen 1300X for a year or so for VR. It's decent if you overclock it to 4GHz or more. You also have the upgrade path to all the way to Ryzen 3000 series which offers some real nice chips. You didn't buy A320 chipset did you?

8GB is a bit limited but you can just buy more ram. I've had people telling me they're doing just fine with 8GB on VRChat. 16GB is enough for most tasks unless you're a real power user.

GTX 1050 Ti 4GB is the real culprit here. You'll just have to accept your losses and get something better. I'd recommend going with Nvidia for best software compatibility look for 1070, 1080, 1660, 2060, 2070 or 2080. Super and Ti versions are better and the 2070 and 2080 come with a usb-c for quest link if you don't already have one on your motherboard.

It obviously can't erase the knowledge that you're playing a game, but it should look like you're in a 3D environment and completely different from looking at a screen. FoV isn't complete but shouldn't be something you notice all the time; the same as when you use a monitor you watch what is on the screen and don't think about what is around it.

There are some who have used it for over 2 years now and still say it's just like wearing a screen. I think different people process visual information very differently. I play most games on low graphical settings because I don't notice any difference when actually playing; my attention isn't focused on exactly what the image looks like. If your attention is always drawn to imperfections, then VR probably won't work due to the limitations.

My old WMR headset had way lower FOV than my Index, but it still felt okay.
