So I think I found the problem but I'm not sure how to solve it.

Based on the template in the Avatar package for Unity, the model is facing the wrong way. Kind of. Looking at the xyz control, it's "front" is actually the back of the model, which explains why its always loading in facing the wrong direction and getting twisted. How can I change what Unity sees as its front? Its default facing position?

If you put a world id into your launch options it'll always put you there. We could theoretically all do that and all spawn there. The idea of a /vrg/ hub world was floated a while back but never took off.
That said I spend far too long setting up my trackers and dancing in the mirror when I spawn in so I'd prefer the privacy.

If you've got about $50 to spare, getting one of these fans is worth it. They're powerful as shit and will evaporate any moisture off your skin by sheer wind force (as long as you're within the narrow blast zone). There are 8 different outfits with a variety of different body types and textures for you to choose from and edit as you please. Each outfit has 3 variants (pink for cute, orange for passion and blue for cool) so pick a color you feel suits you or change them to your own! FBXs marked with numbers such as 0_0_0 are the smaller “loli” bodies while higher numbers like 2_0_0 or 3_0_0 are for more mature characters. Poke through them and find the right fit for you.

That's the Index, there's barely been any hardware issues with the Quest as far as I'm aware. Quest and Rift S are probably the best entry level headsets at the moment, but I'd argue that Rift S is still the superior option for for primarily PCVR. WMR is pretty much universally subpar to the Oculus headsets unless you find one for very cheap.

We know very little about the Quest 2 so there's not much to say on it. I don't think it would be a big leap over the Quest though, since Oculus would want to maintain cross compatibility between the two to an extent. On the other hand, the G2 looks like a solid contender to recommend over the Rift S but that will depend a lot on software and tracking performance, so you should wait for reviews.

I'm sure 95% of those failures are down to dropping or smacking the controller against something too hard, there's plenty here who use Touch 2s and haven't had that issue. If you're going to be that rough with your controllers something is bound to break eventually anyway.

I played the TF2 maps on the NA server on friday. It's fun for a bit, but it's definitely not balanced for the pavlov weapons. Lacks the ebb and flow of actual tf2 classes, teleports, medics, etc.

Definitely a nostalgia trip though. I hope valve actually makes tf2 VR, or some modders in source 2.

Default songs in the free packs work to an extent too but most people haven't played them ironically enough, once you sink into the modded and especially ranked game you stop paying attention to the base songs.

The "star" rating for custom songs on scoresaber is relatively accurate and consistent across custom songs. They have some proprietary algorithm for it (which also is for the pp calculation). the default song expert+ roughly corresponds to 5 stars I'd say. Not sure I understand but it does download to the correct folder hierarchy. If you have mods setup they'll show up under custom songs. It's convenient for grabbing the newest ranked songs or to download whichever ones you're missing.

There aren't that many to scroll through really even if you download everything that's ranked. There will only be so many in whatever pp skill range you're currently at.
