Doing some Assetto Corsa endurance racing at Bathurst tonight at 8PM EDT.
We'll just be using base game GT3 cars, so you'll just need the track mod and the sol mod for night racing. Both are in the Mega link below.
If you've used sol before, you may need to update to the latest version.
The server is in practice mode with the new config for now, but we'll switch to qualifying/race mode once enough people have joined and run a race or two.
It's set up with a fallback if you can't get the sol mod installed, but that doesn't always work for some reason, so please try to get that installed in advance, let me know if you run into any issues.

Technically PSVR is bottom of the barrel, but due to the inevitable mic-robot issues on Rift S mics, it's trash-tier. Have no experience with a Vive Pro (presumably same mic as Vive) or Index here outside of other folks with them inside a game, but then it's running through the game's audio codec at that point.

Limitations of the constellation tracking aside, CV1 is a far better headset than it deserves to be build-wise. Indestructible controllers too, especially compared against S/Quest which seem to split by just hitting the floor.

It makes me worried the day my CV1 dies on me in a way I can't replace. It's one of the lighter headsets out there and that's something I consider a big plus.

They got their Quest 1.5 to release to see if they learned anything about weight distribution and controller durability. Facebook-account shit aside, they're still the only ones pushing hard for having an all-in-one VR device as well as condensing the form factor with their R&D.

We haven't heard anything from other companies about the future of VR hardware other than "more pixels!". Vive Pro Eye could have had promise with being the first foveated headset but that fell flat with the massive delay in its eye tracking.

I have spent a small amount of time at the meetups from time to time for the past few weeks and I thought I'd give you guys a compact summary of my experience and what you can expect.
Common topics of discussion include people's avatars, upcoming events, recent trends in the thread, and gossiping about fellow anons.

For all of these topics minus the latter, there is nothing wrong about them, except that they would obviously be quite confusing and overwhelming for a newcomer to attempt to follow many of these discussions. I hypothesize that this is intentional to keep the defining cliquishness of /vrg/ intact. However, it does not take a detective like myself to see that the cliquishness has been off the rails for a long time now, even for a 4chan community.

For those of you who are interested in it, I have recorded footage of examples of instances of very unflattering gossiping and shittalking at these meetups directed at anons who probably think they have no bad blood with other /vrg/ers, however I can't really post the audio without being discovered and consequently restricted from the meetups for "drama-mongering" (I just want the truth to be available to the public.). I have considered trying to wedge an alt into the meetups to do the recording instead, however getting past the stonewall of Ryder has been a significant challenge, especially when I had been determined to be mute. Hopefully this won't give anything away about me but I was frankly thunderstruck when at one instance I heard an anon mention how mentally compromised another anon was, and less than 5 minutes later was complaining about how the thread is so hateful and shitty, as others nearby agreed of course. The hypocrisy is astounding. In case you are curious, I have noticed that the gossip comes mostly out of the mouths of the same people, and even more interestingly they for the most part all log off (and supposedly log on) at the same time.

It will not take much effort or time to gather non-compromising videos once I have gotten one of my alts into the meetups. With the new hmd tracking in VRchat, my armature seems to deform in certain situations like strafing or during the running animation, since the shoulders move down a little to run the neck gets stretched etc. Is this normal?
