A few of us have been playing Grapple Tournament recently (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1384320/Grapple_Tournament/).

Just came out on Thursday, pretty fun overall since there's not much else similar in terms of vrfps but it has it's issues. Main problem is that there's no way to do private lobbies unless you have a full 6 player party going in (yes, the max is 3v3).

The main unique thing in the game is the grapple. There are double jumps and wall jumping so there's a lot of verticality not present in other vrfps.

There's 12 weapons that all feel different, about half of which have alternative firemodes if you use them with two hands. Adds an interesting dynamic where you can choose between a good boost in firepower or a boost in mobility on the fly.

There's also an energy sword you can pull out at any time but using it sometimes devolves down to wiggling. Unfortunately, the netcode doesn't do the game any favours and makes some of the weapons incredibly frustrating to use.

Overall pretty fun though. I'd suggest waiting for a sale before picking it up since it's quite spenny for what it is, but it's good fun. If there's interest I can try hosting a thread lobby or two at EU times, can try to keep it to an hour so if you just want to try it out you could refund it after.

Feels like mmd was like computer mods back in the day, you had to make the side panel window yourself with a saw and a piece of acrylic glass, mod the neon light(not rgb/led) in yourself, paint it yourself etc.
Nowdays you can just buy a case with tempered glass panel, rgb strip/fans and put it all togheter to get a superior result.

I'm 40 hours in and probably about halfway through the content (playing on hardcore from the start. which slows things down). The gameplay loop is pretty compelling, I think this might be my favorite singleplayer VR game.

There's certainly gonna be a lot of people who won't be able to stand it, but if you like Stalker, you'll probably like this. Go in blind, explore and learn the Radius by trial and error. It's fucking hard as balls too so expect to die a lot in exciting and surprising ways.

There's no scripted jump scares. In fact there's barely any scripted anything. All the enemies make quite quiet sounds until they start engaging so you'll strain your ears to hear them approach and always be looking over your shoulder.
Performance is okay but large open world games often have trouble when you're in a good lookout and looking at lots of things. Recent huge decrease in load times.

At this point the quickest thing to do next is literally just stick a collider on the floor and then upload it into vrchat with the vrchat sdk,

but if for some reason you don't wanna use vrchat for prototyping your designs, install the steam VR sdk to your project, it's practically plug and play. Now your headset is a simple 3d camera in the unity scene.

if you want something a bit more complete where you can walk around and stuff, consider doing a basic unity tutorial, there will be something along the lines of "how to control a first person character" and stick your vr camera/headset alias onto that and drive it around the scene with your motion controllers

alternatively consider importing into unity a more complete vr solution like the VRTK, although that might be dead, haven't touched it in a few years, or pay for something similar off the asset store idk

I'd use proportional editing with "connected only" checked. Use the scroll wheel to adjust the area proportional editing affects while moving verticies around (G).
You can also select multiple vertices, like a line of them on the lower lip, and move those around, or set your 3D cursor to the inside of the mouth and rotate them around that point.
It's not required, but I also like using the Mesh Fairing plugin while working with shapekeys, which lets you easily make areas of the mesh flush with everything else.

good face shape keys are probably the hardest thing to do from scratch. remember you can combine them to make new ones, so just do subtle changes at first. Also hide verts in edit mode and they wont move in sculpt mode. Use your symmetry locks and just move a few verts at a time. there's no real magic shortcut. just have to be slow and precise.

NeosVR can import a bunch of cad formats from inside VR. Once you figure out its complex UI it's pretty powerful. Vrchat will work too as a multiplayer unity scene viewer, but you're on your own getting the model imported and setting up unity and the vrchat sdk.
