I'd try and do better than Maebbie and say there are actual benefits to it even now, but it's mostly that it uses all your cores and not just 1, so even with a room full of tessellating fur nanachis you'll still pull max frames. Dynamic bones doesn't even tickle framerate.

As far as I understand there's too much on the 'update' script that needs to complete before a new frame can render; some of it should be on other threads that can be delayed or discarded entirely. Also the game stores everything seen in VRAM until a new player loads in so frames get further delayed while it's trying to make space for the new data.

There's some nuances to pick up. Anything that is coloured red/blue etc to represent team are armour plates, you have to completely remove them and then black/metallic parts do damage to the structure. You can bypass doing damage to the armour and apply it to the structure of the mech if you know where to aim, but also each plate has it's own hp value meaning spreading it over multiple plates will considerably increase time to kill

Green parts are plates, you have to do 70 damage to removes them
Blue parts are structure, you have to do 50 damage to blow the arm/leg off or blow up the torso
Pink - the cockpit, damage is increased here like doing headshots

You basically need mechanical practice. Aiming with a VR gun is like learning to walk again. Play with bots until they feel weak, and do some conscious practice of key skills:
- Acquiring sights on target and shooting straight
- Getting to accurate iron/sight position from gun-down
- Recoil control

Just stick with irons against bots. They're not hard enough you'll need anything else.
