How exactly do I edit a normal map like pic related? this is like looking at another dimension. Basically I made a few changes to my avatar's body mesh and now the normal map texture doesn't reflect the "weight" correctly in the places I made the changes. Even if I pop open the normal map in photoshop I have no real clue what sort of changes I have to make to it since this is all weird shit. Pls help me understand how all this blue/purple shit works and what do I do to make it apply weight to the texture where I need it to or if there's a program specifically to edit normal maps

normal maps use the color coordinates as normal offsets in tangent space (specifically, mikkt space). I don't know what the best tool to edit them is. krita has a "tangent normal brush" mode that might work for you. if you're okay ditching the current normal map, it's often easier make a copy of your model, use sculpting to make a high-poly/high-detail mesh with whatever detail you want, and bake the normal map instead.

I'm trying to mod SkyrimVR and was following the UVRE guide (modding has changed a lot since 2011). I ran the game fine vanilla for the initial setup, downloaded the UVRE pack from Wabbajack and tried running SKSE from MO2, but I'm just getting a black screen on the headset. The game is showing up on my flat monitor, though, and I can scroll through the options with the controllers, but nothing displays on the headset, unless I press the menu button to close the game, and since I can see that fine, and can get back to the SteamVR house thing just fine, I know it's not an issue with the headset. Anyone know what the trouble could be?

We tend to just stick to out own VRC instances and hang out. There's current a matching avatar event going on and karaoke instance going up in about 20 mins. Half of us are drinking and just having a good time.
Honestly publics are worth a venture from time to time but I'd hate to live in them.

Yes, turnout was very low for Cyberpunk last year and I was thinking about focusing my efforts on something else. But since people want to go ahead with Cyberpunk I'll focus on it again this year and hope people are more enthusiastic than last year.

Building maps is basically unity game development with a limited toolset. Everything's documented and freely available, you just need to put in the work. You'll need a specific version of Unity, the VRCSDK, and then just whatever you build. Udon lets you do a lot of stuff that was hard or impossible with VRCTriggers so if you're doing games you'll want to start with Udon features in mind.
