i would probably make some spiced potato's as a side to chicken nuggets and have some dip on the side of the plate, french fries and spiced boat potatoes would be great combo

Same game but in VR, compare a flat fps to a VR fps pretty much.
You can interact with 1 hand and shoot with the other.
You can aim the akimbo guns freely of eachother, and shoot 2 enemies at once.
Weapon switching, granade, emc etc needs to be changed manually by grabbing your belt, so takes way longer then just pressing a button on a keyboard.
Stealth heists are harder then in desktop.

You won't be able to upload your own avatars for a few hours so you might as well jump in and start exploring avatar worlds to find something you like and get comfortable with the controls and navigation etc.

Most people here play mostly VRChat for the vast amount of time. I think that speaks a bit for itself, though it could besides meaning that it's very fun also just mean that it satiates people's social needs (lonely anons especially during these trying pandemic times), sexual needs (coomers) or creative needs (modellers, shader autists, mapmakers).

What you will get out of VRChat tends to depend on what you are looking for, what you are willing to put in, and probably to a large extent also simply whom you spend your time with. With the latter I am referring to the fact that public lobbies are famously filled with meming desktoppers or questlets without link. The actual main population of people playing VRChat stays in friends+ lobbies, which means you need to be a friend of at least one person in the lobby to join. That is easy to do if you join through /vrg/.

Most importantly, the quest version of VRChat is really barebones in comparison to "proper VRChat". I would recommend against playing it if you don't have a Quest Link (the cable), but I would recommend in favour of playing it if you do have it and a powerful enough PC, and are interested in fulfilling any of those needs I mentioned earlier.
