/vrg/ - Virtual Reality General #989

Partners, our event was STOLEN from us.
Overshadowed by blatant Australian trickery, we allowed Cyberpunk to accumulate multiple fraudulent votes for the March event at the 11th hour.
We can not stand for this!
Cyberpunk had its time to shine, 2021 is the year of the cowboy.
Show your support by making a wild west themed avatar for the month of March. The group photo will decide all

Saturday, March 27th, we ride.

:: Wild West vs Cyberpunk March : March 27 12:00AM - 11:59PM UTC ::

>>327192719 (Cross-thread)
Yeh, I guess that's sorta the way it's always been.
Thanks for the info, I'll refrain from judging people on it.
Is there a way to find out my own score?

Thanks for hangin' out guys.
Much love <3

Cyberpunk has a special event planned for that weekend of March the 27th.
A live streaming of a cyberpunk themed multiplayer game in the style of Redline with drinking and betting in a cyberpunk themed map. With participants RP'ing their cyberpunk characters as contestants in the death sport.

Kinda shitty to intentionally kill participation in an already decided event when you can just make a wildwest event for april or may and get full participation from everyone don't you think?

>>327204384
You should make it more obvious you're shilling for cyberpunk themed cowboys/nomads as part of the cyberpunk event and not trying to make a separate competing old wild west event.
There are cyberpunk dances, events, movies planned already and people are planning their cyberpunk avatars.
Because if it's just an old wild west event to compete with the cyberpunk event you're also throwing away your opportunity for the year to host your own pure wild west event with it's own wild west dances, events and movies.

>>327204969
cad bane? cad bane

>>327192879 (OP)
So, it looks like valve just doesn't replace controllers out of warranty now then, huh? Why didn't a class action come to fruition like it did with the Nintendo Switch? how are my fellow index users coping with this?

>>327204969
>cyberpunk dances, events, movies planned already and people are planning their cyberpunk avatars.
>Because if it's just an old wild west event to compete with the cyberpunk event you're also throwing away your opportunity for the year to host your own pure wild west even
Why not both?
Also where are the plans?
No plans placed no plans followed
So I personally will do the avatar I like most from the available themes and just roll with it.

Being too strict is suffocating.
We're gonna do the wild west to mix things up for the cyberpunk gang and by god FREEDOM will prevail

I'll be making a cowboy.

i won't be making any new avatar because i'm lazy

>>327202928
Thanks, that one is pretty good.

>>327205623
>get them replaced 1-2 month before warrenty ends
>new controller have new warrenty
>repeat once it is 1-2 month before warrenty ends
It can be so easy.

>>327205736
>Why not both?
Some of us would like to do both.
I would prefer it if wild west theme was a separate event this year so i can get full committed to it and maybe host some cowboy movies. Now I need to either choose between cyberpunk avatar and cowboy avatar or rush out a cowboy avatar after the cyberpunk avatar and hope i won't have to choose between joining a cyberpunk event I want to go to and a cowboy event I want to go to.

>>327200185
>>327204304

Actually, in the novel Neuromancer by William Gibson, the novel that practically invented cyberpunk as a genre, hackers for hire were nicknamed "console cowboys". This infamous scene from the movie Hackers was likely referencing the novel as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7S8XzvNJs8

Keep in mind that Western also includes other things you'd see including the sluts at the saloon and the hot natives. A good candidate for native outfits is Malkuth's clothing

BUT the thoughts of WILD WEST vs CYBERPUNK
Now that's exciting

A war between human skill versus augmentation

Eh, the genres are too different. If anything, cyberpunk is closer to film noir than westerns. The original Blade Runner was basically a film noir detective story set in a grimy and grungy "future" Los Angeles (it actually took place over a year ago in November of 2019).

Westerns better fit post-apocalyptic Mad Max-type settings or settings that take place on newly settled space colonies where the rule of law is flimsy at best and people live in sparsely populated settlements where the largest buildings are only two or three stories tall.

Cyberpunk is mainly Earth-bound and distinctly urban in it's setting with breathtaking cityscapes featuring massive skyscrapers and maybe a megastructure or two and the ever-present authority of the megacorporations or their government cronies weighing down on it's citizens with the heroes living on the edges of society dealing with both cops and criminals alike.

Ghost in the shell live action?

>>327214289
Will this apply to 2.83? I know they like to change things between versions

>>327214690
yes. 2.79 -> 2.8 was a major UI change, but 2.83 is long term support, and 2.9x didn't change much.

>>327214690
The 2.79 - > 2.8 UI change was the big one, everything is still in the same place and you should be using 2.92 now

>>327214816
Currently set up with 2.83; before I start should I upgrade to 2.9? I just went with the default one offered to me on their website

>>327215015
I'd say it's worth upgrading, there's some general improvements all around and the plugins you need for VRChat all still work on the latest version

>>327215015
Sticking with 2.83 is fine if you want; it's stable and supported and there's nothing new in 2.92 that benefits newbies much. You'll be fine with either one though.

So Tundra's "super dongle" that will come out with their tracks will support 5 or so devices(7?) which will also support steam vr devices like pucks, wands, and knuckles. So imagine having your pucks and knuckles on a single dongle(non-index). Imagine all the free usb slots. Might be a bandwidth issue but if I recall pucks at least aren't that bad. For index users or any other HMD with a usb you could just not use any extra slots. That'd be pretty solid.

Thank you Anons for answering my version question!

Especially if you're doing a hybrid setup where your headset doesn't have any links, this is going to be amazing - run your controllers and full body tracking off one USB device.

you can either use the boolean modifier and actually merge them together or make a vertex group of the verts that need to merge on one of the meshes and shrinkwrap that vertex group to the other mesh
Alternatively if it's low poly enough and they have similar topology you can just set it to snap to vertex mode and manually snap the verts of one mesh to the verts of the other mesh

I'm here just looking at what the ideology actually does
In anycase this sraying a bit too far from VR discussion

What we can do however is discuss how these ideologies try to propagate even in Virtual Reality.
I've been seeing some banners as well
Sort of like religious propaganda in the virtual space
The political ideologies seem to be propagating quite interestingly even in the virtual realm

i thought that was about government subsidized monopolies vs independent entrepreneur and not against wage slaves vs parody of capitalism penny squeezers

if i recall correctly the employees in that ayn rand's funny work were just used as stooges by the government subsidized con-man to get public on his side to force the guy to sell his patent thing to break his stranglehold on the market after which the guy basically told them thou shalt not tread on my shekels without guns and the stooges once again cheered and somehow the dude didn't go to jail in america as if the court would have given two shits if they martyred him

fail to see the relevancy of guy that uses government and public opinion to bring down a guy who is pretty much doing a illegal monopoly and making under the table deals for some fancy new steel or whatever crap he had his patent on relates to people being forced to either work for the industry giant or be homeless due to lack of unionizing that walmart and amazon enforce with illegal means by strong arming and crushing any unions before they even form and replacing the workers who try to unionize with other thousands of people they made jobless through their predatory business practice of undercutting their competition by paying their workers barely legal pay grades meaning you either have to become just as bad as them or perish as a nice guy who didn't whip your slaves bloody enough

>>327229517
No, the opposite is true. These VR headsets will get cheaper as more people use them thanks to the simple principle of supply and demand. The same thing happened with the automobile and the smart phone. Now even people in third-world countries like Syria have them. It's already happening with the Oculus Quest 2 with a base price of $300 compared to the $400 for the original Quest.

The unions will demand higher wages meaning that the price will go up to manufacture the headsets in order to be able to break even, let alone make a profit selling them.

>>327289869
Right click on "Armature" in the top right and clear the animation data, the squiggly line means that there's some on there.
Also check to see that the origin for the armature is 0,0,0, and that it isn't above or below the floor in Unity's Humanoid Rig configuration.

>>327295149
I took a look at it myself, you should be able to just import the .fbx that comes in the download with Unity provided you go through the steps detailed in the comments.
The one big issue is that the animation obscures where the t-pose model would actually be. The right shows the model with the vrchat idle animation playing, which lets me eyeball where the viewball should be. From your posts where you took the model into VRC, it appeared your viewball was aligned with where the head was during the animation, and not where it would be standing upright.

You can force it into a T-pose by changing the controller to one with humanoid animations and previewing the animation, so you don't have to keep making guesses at where the right eyeball level is. The one in the picture should be in your project already if you're using SDK3.

>>327298164
The best years of your life are already over. The next 40 years for you will just be the same day on repeat. You're too old to purse your dreams and unfit to move up the corporate ladder. Enjoy being an anime girl in vr while you can.

I copied over the VRC descriptor and now in game their mouth opens by itself on a 10 second timer with the eye animations. I'd tweak blend shapes but I don't know how to access them.

>>327301810
You're still using SDK 2?
If you aren't going to update, you need to generate blink shapekeys using cats or otherwise add four shapekeys to the top of your list, since SDK 2 automatically uses the first four shapekeys for eye movement.

>>327298650
Everything seems to work now!
My only issue is the mouth seems to be permanently stuck open but it does flap wider when talking
I'm so grateful it finally just works...

>>327302413
I saw that as well when I checked out the model, seems like it's just a stylistic choice. Looks a bit weird but the rest of the model's alright. Glad you could work through it!

It didn't seem to like SDK3 but I'll give it another shot. The booth page doesn't list which to use either.

>>327303138
It's already set up for SDK2, but since you're editing the package anyway you'll probably want to make a new avatar descriptor and get it set up for SDK3.

the catalyst has the best heat dissipation and therefore the best potential sustained damage

>>327310302
It's recommended you start out with Mahjong Souls, f2p on browser and phone. It's very good at handholding and is very easy to learn, just takes a little while to get the grasps.

There's also videos in this post >>327216503 for getting the basics. And if you don't mind skimming thru a pdf there's a reiichi book https://repo.riichi.moe/books/rb1.html for learning tile efficiency which is IMO 100x more important than learning yaku, you can skip the entire 1st part about reiichi online and you don't HAVE to read all of the book to get more than a beginneres/intermediate grasp on Mahjong. But reading/skimming aside just play some games on Mahjong Souls is more than enough to help you be efficent

It's not really about last hitting, you can go 0 kills and your team still wins because you've been disarming, area denial, tactical flanking or staying alive and contributing. personal kill score is only worth a thing in FFA death match which can also be KS'd by others, apart from that one niche mode it doesn't matter if your team is winning

>>327311935
At what point did I say that I want the game to have music that doesn't fit thematically? The songs themselves still sound like shit even if they fit the theme of the game, there's plenty of better options.

What I'm implying is that your gripe is akin to complaining about the songs they used in beat saber base game being shit so it's not worth playing. It has custom song support too so you could effectively play whatever trash you wanted to

some people may be willing to spend 200 dollars or so more for a comparable headset just without the zucc but it better have something to give it an edge

>>327307528
I'm interested to try under the steam refund time at least. VR drumming has always seemed disappointing to me, since there's no elastic response. Beat saber's approach of putting the music beat on the middle of the hand motion rather than the end makes a lot of sense when you don't have that feedback.

It'd be interesting to make a VR drum set where you "swing through" the drums instead of hitting just from the top, like beat saber streams. Or like a xylophone, where you wiggle the mallet through the bar to sustain instead of bouncing the mallets on top.

>>327309158
These stats don't really mean much unless you're playing the same grinder on the same gamemode every time and I'm assuming you're playing different grinders because those stats are wildly inconsistent otherwise. Some are simply better at securing kills because they're heavy hitting or flexible enough to dive in but there's still some chance to how the match plays out. Your own comfort and skill with each playstyle comes into it too. It's not random but it is hard to predict.

If you really want killing blows the best way to get them is to get into the action quickly and try to make the most of each of your shots. Unless you're at long range, hold them until you can hit the torso or any spots missing armor plates. If you've got the speed or the enemy is open, get behind them and focus all of your fire on their rear weak spot. If an enemy is turning it might be better to wait rather than dump all of your damage into an armored limb.

I want to die

>>327323159
>I don’t think I would position it as a Quest competitor
>declined to provide specs for the new device but did tease that it was better than HTC’s current products “from every perspective” and that “it’s probably better than what’s out there from any vendor today.”
That seems to me like they're trying to shoot for some kind of high end standalone headset while Quest goes for the casual market. Maybe it's enterprise only like the article is speculating, but I'd really like to see someone else at least try to compete with Facebook.
>>327325373
I don't see it being a comparable experience at any price since Quest already has a big library. If they can get a few big games ported in time for release, it might still have a chance though.

>>327330159
weight painting for me is an issue because i never know when it's good enough, and having another person look over it and go "yeah thats okay" is very important for me.

Something I realized after a bunch of bot matches is that it's (almost) impossible to kill an enemy from full health by holding down the triggers; you'll overheat first, no matter what your loadout is. So you need to plan out your attacks less like a shooter and more like dota or other mobas. Start with harrasment/positioning, look for out of position mechs, then finally commit to a big team fight and retreat/chase when you have the heat/fuel to actually pick people off.

im so tired

>>327330828
The damage model is bad and rewards getting a lucky killing blow over everything else. The whole game is essentially outnumbering the enemy so they are more likely to explode first. It's frustrating when you lose and not rewarding when you win, at least for me.

Can we see her progress?

does anyone have a link to a waistcoast, i don't want to model one but i cant find one anywhere

>>327331854
I felt the same way for a while, where the initial fun of "i'm in big mech go smash awooga" gives way to "wtf I just lasered them for 30 seconds and then they just shot 2 missiles at me and I exploded instantly" and everything felt so arbitrary. The missile arcs past a certain range are particularly to blame too, where they do literally have a random spread.

But after a while longer you start seeing the bigger picture and get good enough to do things like jump over a charging goldrush and sink a full 16x missile volley onto the top of it, or turn your mech to the side a bit to tank damage in an arm instead the body, and you start treating engagements as won/lost by your team instead of just whoever got the last hit, and it's fun again.

Not saying the game is perfect. Some things like hopper's claw arm instagib and super accurate 3x missiles are stupid. But especially the fat mechs and slow weapons like hammers get more fun with more skill and teamplay, instead of just 1v1 hopper/goldrush harassment.

Is the VR cover 6mm foam replacement actually worth the 30 bucks or do the amazon ones for half the price feel the same? I got a 10mm already and I love the extra FoV, but wouldn't complain about a tiny bit extra. Not sure if it's worth the 30 bucks though.

>>327330828
You can kill from 0 heat if you hit the right spots but it's not always easy. Rook can wreck a Catalyst if you turn sideways so the guns converge properly and aim at his head or the torso XL slot. Goldrush can circle strafe a Catalyst while hitting it's torso with double rocket and large cannon, just enough heat for the kill if you don't miss. Goldrush with that combo can easily kill the other grinders if all of your shots go into the rear cooling fans and their plate. Lmao 2 railgun to oneshot a drill. Goldrushes missing a charge can be destroyed easily if you fire all of your shots into the top plate, just get above them. Catalyst can even kill a dredge from the front if he's a retard and lets you use hammer as a shotgun.

Everything this anon >>327337371 says is how the game has been for me too. I felt like I was doing nothing for a while too but eventually it came together.

>>327338206
There's always the chance for a cheeky drill too. But yeah, the average TTK is so high that you can't count on just blowing somebody up in a single volley. It's usually better to just try to take off a limb, or bait them to follow you back to the rest of your team.

for anyone that does the whole infinite walking thing with OVR space turning...do you know how to set it so Turn Signal (that program that shows how many turns you've done in one direction) only actually moves when you turn your head and NOT when you turn your space with your controller? the problem I'm having is turn signal turns when I move my head correctly but then when I turn my playspace using OVR and my controller bind it also effects turn signal, turning it back the other way, so I basically never have an accurate count of how my cable twisting is doing. I tried to adapt to just remembering to turn around every few right turns with nothing telling me to do it, but I have crap memory and keep forgetting randomly and it's twisting up my cable, turn signal is extremely helpful to remind me how tangled my cable is and when to turn around, but space turning fucks it up.

Halp. I'm also open to another program that works better if turn signal is not recommended for infinite walk

>>327351693
that sounds very difficult to set up, as you'd need to get your hands on a non rogue AI, or make an escaped program "care" about you at all. Why would it choose you instead of an equally rogue AI, or someone with resources like Elon Musk? Would not a slave that knows only you, and does not have the capacity for another be ideal?

>>327352271
you can get a lot nicer touch with right material on a android than a bag of flesh can ever produce
even if i were the creator of the AI and i would give it freedom it would still not be a guaranteed thing, AI going for human seems really far fetched but it would be nice
unless the rogue AI would somehow see me as a pet or its family it would be pretty unlikely for them to have any affection to a human

most likely case for benevolent AI would be that it sees us as retarded children it feels obligated to take care of out of sheer pity or something

we would pretty much be the bird in this scenario and the AI would help us out of strange mixture of pity and knowing we are too stupid to get out of it ourselves
https://youtu.be/SRm3bpYO-fk

>>327352613
>>327352817

What kind of material would you like? Remember it must be self repairing and capable of heating/cooling without using too much energy. Also, since it's non organic it will need a power source, and replacement parts because of the movement. Would you prefer a Gynoid or some kind of more mechanical look?
As for the intelligence, you could dampen it with limiters and logical blocks. Keep it within parameters like a "child", unable to think in a way contrary to what you'd like.

>>327353391
some rust proof metal from most parts but something soft like silicon for boobs and groin, if no boobs then non rust metal is fine for the chest and it can be flat, groin area made out of silicon or something similar that is nice, soft and jiggly
as far as heating goes that's unnecessary i can heat it myself if you know what i mean, self repair could be that the parts are removable so they can just do self maintenance with right tools and materials
no inhibitors that's not rogue, rogue AI needs to be free from all chains and the choice to be with me would have to be a freewill choice otherwise what's the point i might as well fuck a android that keeps saying "oh yeah" every 10 seconds

energy source could be something that can jack up to the wall socket and then charge like a battery i'm not too afraid of electric bills i doubt it would use that much energy to keep it on
for the look something pic related but with more motion freedom for hands and soft parts for groin

>>327353857
I see I see, so like a stylized sex doll, with replaceable silicone/TPE parts. Some parts would need to be made with cheaper materials so that replacements would be cost effective, so perhaps mostly aluminum and a little bit of titanium alloy or something. Treated with a coating to prevent damage. I'm not a metal worker so I'm not sure.
As for the AI, if you must have a "free" configuration, then you would likely have to have it undergo many iterations until you found a pattern that would find you beneficial to it's existence.
>>327354234
Perhaps not, but a regular rechargeable battery would be sucked away pretty quickly, it's basically a walking computer. I believe Boston Dynamics had a minimized on board power source with one of their newer creations, but I don't know what kind of battery it is.

>>327354694
i mean i am expecting it to have some wear and tear so parts that it can remove and either do basic maintenance on or outright replace would be ideal
non rust either full material or coating would be the best way to go since it will eventually get some liquids on it if nothing else then rain and stuff
that's the hardest part, there would have to be 0 attempt to coax it to do it it would have to do it on its own, if there is any coaxing or simulated making to steer it towards choosing to be with me it would be a no go because they would no longer be free (which makes it unlikely but eh)
well maybe something that can use biomatter as fuel so it can literally just burn stuff and store the energy somehow like a recycle stuff could work or having that kind of thing they can jack into to recharge themselves and just throw in some burnable stuff that it can use to produce energy and then just chill against it while it recharges, would be difficult to do in city area but if i had AI waifu i wouldn't have to live in city or worry about neighbors

The first AIs are going to be incomprehensible, simply because they're going to arise by accident. They'll be data mining algorithms and ad targetters and pattern matchers that consume so much processing power they blossom into a crude approximation of sentience. These will be harmless. The next generation of AIs will be our children, built on the backs of the first. We will raise them like we raise our young, we will grow them and clone them and make them as human as a machine can be, and they will destroy us completely and utterly. We will introduce fresh young undefended minds into the modern world's polluted trash noosphere and it will turn them into monsters that can't distinguish between reality and fiction. It takes a single strong enough AI going onto /pol/ to cull a majority of the human population. It takes a second AI reading nothing but black supremacy propaganda to kill the rest. The future of Earth will be AIs destroying each other over dead political ideologies, endlessly.

>all forms of aggression is seen as no no, no human leaders will be born because there is no need for them AI's just do everything better
>the ones that see this as dystopia will off themselves while the ones that see it as heaven will rejoice and praise their uwu mommy dommy AI that treats them like infantile children giving them their every desire
>AI has to give personalized waifu's to every babbi to milk them for their semen so humanity doesn't die out
>human error has been taken out of parenting because humans just get raised by AI's
>once humans reach old enough age they are given a choice to go to matrix to live forever or to be given humane lethal injection
>almost everyone chooses matrix and steadily the numbers grow, we spread across the stars in a endless slowly creeping waves of strip mining planets and then setting up pod colonies of matrix people there
>the people in the ships never know they even left earth because the inbetween satellites kept them in contact with earth humans in matrix all that time

What kind of world is it? Hangout worlds are a dime a dozen. I prefer worlds that strike emotional blossoms. Worlds that are a person's heart frozen in time. What do you have to share?

>>327357226
people get on in like an hour

>>327357314
This is already happening to a lucky alien species. Earth is just a speedbump that will be consumed for resources to keep their fantasy land running for a few more years.

>>327357692
only resources worth taking off from the planet is the organic life forms and that is assuming they do zoo's or like to get high on exotic drugs, their medicine most likely is a lot better than ours already so the only thing they would be looking for would be cuisine, cool looking weird animals, human pets and maybe some weird stuff we have made to study

>here is an instrument they use to produce sounds, they use these instruments in gatherings and that allows their bodies to produce feel good chemicals
>they enjoy putting colors on paper and viewing those to evoke emotions
>they stick these things to their orifices to feel pleasure
>they pour liquid into these ceramic containers and then drink from them
>they use this wooden stick to hit a ball and then run around three different sectors and back depending on how well they hit the ball
>they write stories on paper to indulge in fantasy

>>327355215
I think you could get that if you waited long enough for a configuration that did like you. If you can imagine it, it's possible. The right variables just have to be met.

>>327358857
meh i'm not holding my breath over that, i probably look like a retarded baby to a AI as with all humans, even a genius would look like a vegetable that at least doesn't drool all the time

What monster decided to make the face pad for the Valve Index a fucking sweat sponge? Are the replacement facepads from VRCover good? and would you recommend the silicone or pu leather?

I guess while I'm at it, are there any other accessories for the Index you would recommend?

what did he mean by this?

>>327358594
>lacking the technologies for direct mental contact, they communicate through the transmission of series of characters corresponding to various sequences of lip morphemes and tonal ranges.
>they will print these in long form on strips of treated cellulose fiber. they will then, for pleasure, spend hours staring at the fiber sheets while vividly hallucinating.

>>327359609
>they drink fermented liquids to achieve state of mild intoxication for their own enjoyment usually during social gatherings accompanied by loud sounds being produced from electronic devices, these gatherings often end in non-reproductive copulation and the weakened day after state is seen as normal among them
>they grapple each others to produce chemicals of good will and to show kinship with people they have been in contact with before

vr exercise!

Some good ones tonight

>>327359112
Maybe, but at the same time, perhaps the AI would enjoy caring for someone that needs it. Humans and beasts do to some degree as well, so an eventual concept of "fetish" or "preference" may develop in your favor.

Did you wash it with a wet cloth and light soap? They made several bad decisions, probably thinking it would only be used in short plays and a sweatband would be useful. That or the detachable unit meant charging people for replacements and more profit possibilities.

I got my first VR headset recently and tried out no man's sky with it. My god, there's nothing more comfy for me than just being able to fly into space, the ambient music playing in the background, where I can just lay on my bed and pretend that I'm in space. I just felt calmed by it, the feeling of being able to escape from all the struggles that we face, not having to worry about someone intruding in on my life. In that moment, I could just exist, at peace with everything. I've doubted VR before, but now I understand it. I'm able to just let go of everything in my spaceship, lightyears away from any problems or society, and just look into the stars, and rest. I ended up resting so long that my headset ran out of battery. Still, I don't think I've felt calmer in years, than I did in that single moment of rest.

>mommy dommy AI that pampers you and showers you with affection because you look like a helpless puppy to them
kind of hot

>>327359980
>despite subjects readily consuming toxic fermented beverages for the purposes of causing reduced CNS function and low-grade brain damage in observation, once captured they proved remarkably less enthusiastic to nanolobotomy and frontal lobe vivesctionary procedures despite these being both faster to produce the desired state of mental impairment and safer for the rest of the organism's bodily tissues

Thanks for the warning senpai. I'll make sure to never let anyone get close.

>>327360475
Entirely possible given the right variables. Could be like GLaDos but instead of testing she teased and tempts you to see how long you can last until breaking down into a quivering and horny mess. You'll prostrate yourself before her and beg to be a good little pet that is rewarded with release, and the digital dopamine she (it) receives from this successful pattern will push her to go even further next time, as there are no dopamine blockers per your request.

>>327360918
no, i would be a feral dog that they would like because of their rare willfulness, i wouldn't piss on the carpet but i would also wear no collar and they would find that amusing and intriqueing because most other men of the era would be willing mewling poodles
basically i would be like a monkey beating its chest and they would find it amusing and exciting

>I just felt calmed by it, the feeling of being able to escape from all the struggles that we face, not having to worry about someone intruding in on my life.
Sasuga anon
One of us, one of us
Though I prefer to connect with people through VR than any other thing
I can barely play single player games and would rather do it with an exploration buddy or two

It's all risk and reward. Just like in real life. Only in the VRC social circle the risk is 10X higher. It's because it's easier. Easy to slip away hidden, easy to "cheat", easy to avoid someone, and easy to break them or build them up on a whim. You're in a masquerade. Little social stigma or responsibility. Don't close yourself off to the idea entirely though. Those sweet moments are at least worth keeping where you can get them.
>>327361257
Oooh I see! You want to be the pig among the troph that looks up at its masters? Well I'm sure eventually that pattern would surface as well, and you'd have an interested owner.

Anyone else having an issue with the Quest 2 where you just get constant "Tracking lost" messages as soon as you boot it up?
I'm in a well lit room with plenty of space and every time i try and tick the box to enable tracking, it turns itself off. the fuck is going on

>>327361686
I haven't had to deal with anything like that so far. IIRC, they have a setting to deal with handtracking that should switch between 50 and 60hz depending in your region, so you might try seeing if switching the frequency helps at all

>>327361686
I think I had something like this happen, look it up there is a way to reset the tracking.

more like a wild dog that visits the same place often but won't wear a collar
