There are at least two players on the team per tournament that never play that I specifically shove to the bench to make way for other players, but in terms of the poll thing probably not desu. I had asked people about the idea at one or two of the viewings to see what people thought of it. A lot of people initially liked the idea but as we discussed more of it we came to realize it's going to be hard to shove players in from different games that no one votes for, because there's not really much to work with in terms of making the player interesting or funny and people probably aren't going to volunteer to make the models, or rip assets from the game, so we'd be stuck with a player only 8 people voted for or something, with no one wanting to make the player or rip assets from the VR game the player is from.

I think we've mostly been getting better and better every tournament though in terms of a more diversified VR roster. The Phasmophobia rep was the 3rd most voted in player on the roster last poll for example.

I think you're misunderstanding. The "forcing" part refers to the soccer player being forced on the team by management as opposed to being voted in by the general.
The person's idea is that there should be a few reserved slots on the team for VR games, such as Robo Recall, that even if it did not receive anywhere near the amount of votes required to be on the team, they would be "forced" in anyway to promote a more diverse VR roster.

The problem with that is he is "forcing" others to use a model if they want to, since the main problem with the initial voting/suggestion system is them having an idea of something to represent a game that people like, but not be willing to put in the effort to actually make it.
While he can make his Robo Recall character, he still has to go through his shilling voting system, whatever that means. Which I'm assuming is you put up your model as a Yay or Nay style of "Would you want this model in?"
Personally, I think it would encourage others to actually put effort into pulling in avatars or symbolic items from games, some that might never see the light of day otherwise, even if in the end everyone votes Nay on including it.

Assetto Corsa goes on sale pretty often and pirate copies can play online if you want to try it without a wheel sometime.

What I played of rFactor 2 felt pretty good.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is good if you have the hardware to run it in VR.
I didn't like Project Cars 2, but that's an option if the feel doesn't put you off.
There's a really good mod for Richard Burns Rally that I need to try again.
Also, iRacing, Live for Speed, and RaceRoom all have official VR support, but I haven't tried those.

Tracking FOV isn't even the main problem here. Quest, though more so Rift S, demonstrate that inside-out tracking can work so well that people don't care anymore. But those headsets don't prove that other companies can also do inside-out tracking in the same way. There are multiple problems with other companies' inside-out tracking that doesn't have to do with tracking FOV.

You've never used a Cosmos and never read/watched any of the reviews. FOV is not the problem on Cosmos. Handling occlusion, reacquisition, close headset proximity tracking, robust lighting conditions, fast motion, and general jitter/accuracy, is all done very badly. You might not understand since you use Quest which handles those well, but those are problems that had to be solved to get to Quest's "good" implementation of inside-out tracking, and HTC never solved them, and likely will not by the time this new headset comes out.

I can't imagine that these will improve by much if they retain the visible light tracking method. There's a reason Oculus went with IR and even then they had to turn up the brightness on the leds to deal with similar issues on the Rift S.

I don't remember brightness being a problem on Rift S, or even CV1 which if you think about it would have a harder time since the cameras would be farther away. Rift S, as well as Quest, had initial problems with close to headset tracking which they fixed through algorithmic means. There might have been a bug though having to do with the LED brightness which they could have fixed.

The only thing I've noticed is that it takes a lot of hits to regenerate the life lost from one miss, so if it's part of a song that is complex but there aren't a lot of notes coming at you, your life will drain away even if you're hitting almost every note. Meanwhile if it's a song where there's tens of notes per second, you almost instantly regenerate and can keep going even while missing constantly.

I don't know if anyone can provide some insight or assistance, but I recently acquired a model from booth I rather like. I've previewed a 'test' version from the guys display at the museum and it seemed to be perfectly fine, no weird jiggle physics or anything other than the sample written all over it.

Now I have the actual model, the vrm and the unitypackage he made and it has like forty billion dynamic bones and is set to 'very poor', and importing it into the game has her tits, hair, tail and etc flying in all directions and clipping extremely shit and just ridiculously freaking out if I move even slightly it'll just send em flying. What the fuck am I doing wrong, is the 'dynamic bones' module I stole shit or am I supposed to remove all the shit off this model and make the dynamic bones myself or fucking what, i'm losing my gal durn mind.
