It's actually pretty good though. The screens are pretty clear (at elast when compared against my index and my younger brothers rift s), and the speakers are pretty similar to the index. Haven't tested the mic, so I can't say if it's as good as the indexes. For being half the cost of an index, it's worth it. Especially as my older brother is a truck driver and wants it for playing flight sims and shit when he's sitting. He also knew the controllers were garbage going in, so I think he's going to like it. I'll stick with my index.

Oculus Air Link or Virtual Desktop both work decently and that allows me to have the thing plugged into the wall instead so that it doesn't drain the battery.

Some will tell you physical link is fine and you can't see the compression effects, others will tell you it is utterly unplayable at its very best.

Personally link is good, my linked oculus looks better than my old headset did.

Unless you've got an actually good wireless network or are direct connecting to your computer's wifi card then wireless WILL have some visible compression for most people. It's still great though.

There doesnt seem to be really great options for VR headsets right now.

The index is 1k and the display is out of date.

The G2 reverb has bad tracking issues and their customer support is garbage (mine broke in less than 30 days so I had a fucking great time dealing with that). WMR is also fucking trash.

The quest 2 has zuck suck but otherwise works pretty flawlessly and may be the best choice for something to grab while waiting for a a newer model.

Seems like everything has some pretty big downsides.

They jitter all the fucking time, and it makes no sense as the controllers are covered in leds they use for tracking. The only thing I can assume is that the cameras/sensors they use are so garbage that the leds easily overpower it and turn it into an untrackable mess.
I will probably try using the g2 headset with my knuckles at some, but I haven't yet. So I can't personally attest to how they work in conjunction with the reverb g2 hmd.

The Golden Week sale is on so I picked up Gal Gun 2 along with some other games but this one has VR so I'll talk about that. I beat Double Peace a few years ago and that was fun but 2 is more of the same, same setting and characters with some new heroines. Its a rail shooter where you shoot girls with pheromones to make them cum instantly. Snap turning and aggressive screenfade are present for the weaklings but luckily there's a mod to remove screenfade completely and the mods are pretty simple to install so, of course, I installed nude mods as well.

The game is still a fun shooter with a simple setting and good music. One major issue with the game is the subtitles; they sit low on your vision and longer lines get cut off on the corners frequently. Not that the story matters too much since its a rehash of the first few games. Still, the girls are all very cute and getting rushed and tackled by them is actually kinda scary. You get candy and snacks as score rewards which you can give to a girl of your choice to increase their favor with you; No doubt to unlock different endings like in Double Peace.

It's a nice game to relax and play casually. Get it while its on sale, I bought all the dlc outfits but they're not worth it at full price. You can definitely get a good feel for the game in the first 30 minutes so buy it if it sounds interesting and refund it if its not for you.
