When you're actually working on making your own avatar, the advice I give everyone is pick a base word. Cat, dog, robot, lizard, bird, zombie, slut, whatever. As long as you have that word, it makes it much easier to find a base body to build outwards from. Furries are less liked but that's more of a trial by fire thing. You're going to get murdered if you're a shiba, but if you're a nanachi you'll get shit from some NAs and pass.

Your first avatar shouldn't expected to be a permanent part of you. Most people will start with something public and eventually grow outwards from there. It happens and it's not really weird at all. Pic related, the first public avatar I used.

Yeah it would take a lot of work. But its not impossible. There is a mutliplayer for vtolvr which is a unity game. I think you could have a similar approach when making multiplayer for h3vr.

For those interested we're going to be trialing a Japanese study circle before NA anime nights. As I'm a complete beginner these will be approached in a way that doesn't absolutely require prior knowledge. My current plan is to have a few words that we pick out of the starter anki decks to review together and attempt to remember. As this will be just a preliminary meeting. Plan on mainly discussing group study strategies and what format these study circles should take to be the most beneficial.

For the next meetup up on Wednedsay we will try to have a seperate world to go to where we can be in a more classroom like setting.
This will be at 8PM EDT -sharp-.

Structure will be as follows.
-10 mins Kana review: We'll read off as a group the basic Kana from the charts or from study cards
-10 mins Vocab review: We'll introduce 5 new words to listen for during anime night
-30 minutes leaded lesson/self study: Introducing and discussing a concept, or practicing pronunciation. This will either be through a video or someone in the group taking the initiative to lead the lesson.
