It was very interesting how a unity build just up and works outright. Multi-player is probably a lot harder but there are some unity prefabs these days that allow for easy photon integration. Every sim will feel like shit at higher speeds in less stable cars if you use controller, but you can try playing assetto on it and it's not impossible to do that. Not sure, i know that games receive signal for "dashboard open" and that they can decide on what happens when that happens, but i don't know if you can configure steamvr to not send that signal. However, workaround: ovr toolkit, you get full keyboard there, configurable overlay windows you can pull around yourself (like pinning windows in oculus mode), it's the closest thing to oculus software you can have. So, if your problem is wanting to use desktop while in game, this is how you do it.
