Well there's currently a bug when you eet it to red and close your menu afterwards it will display as green but for everyone it remains red. Even updating the status won't change it, you have to do it at least via vrcx to actually change it

Everyone has different tastes of course. Beat Saber is just an awesome game (I actually own it twice! That's how much I love it) if you are into music. If you have Minecraft, you can download a VR version of it to try out (be warned, tis buggy on occasion) for zero cost.
You can jump in and chat with people in VRChat - although if you are not plugging your quest into a computer you won't be able to see many of the complex models people make (or buy, or swipe). Although given what stalks those virtual halls, that may be more of a blessing that a curse. Public lobbies that don't have games (bars and hangouts) tend to have more potential for toxicity than a game room.

Use Air link with good wifi router to link to your PC or get a Quest Link cable.

Most of us here are on PC.

Just got done making some icons for all of my outfit toggles. It was probably too much work for something only I am ever going to see but I thought I would share anyway. Using this combination of solidify and smooth modifiers in blender I got this nice outline effect. The first solidify is just cleanup to make sure the mesh is solid for the outline, the second solidify is where the magic happens. Every object has 2 materials: black and an unused white emission material with backface culling. "Flip Normals" and "Material Index Offset" on the Solidify.001 modifier is what accomplishes the outline effect.

Got a question, still very new to vr chat world building and I made a cylinder that basically acts as an elevator in my world. I have an animation on it that moves it diagonally up to another floor in my world and back down. The problem is when I step on the elevator and it moves up my avatar like....just slides off it? almost as if the force of the elevator moving is pushing back like via wind or something and drags my avatar off the cylinder. How do I disable or alter this so my avatar stands on the elevator the full ride and does not get tossed off?

I COULD just add like a guard rail to block me from falling off, but that's not really learning how to solve the problem, just a bandaid to temp fix the issue

The object will have it's own animationcontroller. By default it'll be entry > animation1. You just want to add animation2 and put a transition with no transition time in the Default layer. You then continue walking forward.

There is an advanced way to go about this which is curving the game space to your real life location. But needs a big play space.

I just want to say something to everybody who was in the avatar museum world: Could you briefly consider not constantly cycling through different avatars every 5 seconds? I spent an hour trying to load into the world where everybody was and crashing every time from the network getting overloaded. vrchat should enforce a limit on how often you can switch avatars.
