I love VRchat. It's been a wonderdul way to put myself into social situations, especially since I'm shy irl.

The only issue is that I feel as if I can't speak in public rooms. I have a higher pitched voice, and am a girl, and people seem to obsessively harass me, ask my age (I'm 22.) , call me a "trap" or insist that I'm a guy using a voice changer. I don't really care about any of it, in terms of feeling bad about my voice, but I feel as if it's a barrier that doesn't allow me to socialize. I don't know how to respond, and sometimes it becomes this weird gang up, where people start laughing and insisting the same thing, till I end up feeling embarassed and frustrated, then leave the room.

I try to laugh it off usually, and lower my voice all weird and deep, to try and prove that I'm not using a voice changer, but everyone refuses to believe me.

My fellow weebs, a new season of anime is upon us, and it is once again time to watch them all. This is the 4th season we've done this and we've become exceedingly efficient at it.

Probably Vive Pro 2 with a DAS and Index controllers, plus FBT and a Face tracker if you play VRChat. As a bonus, you can grab the Vive wireless kit and use that when you're fine with trading resolution and refresh rate for wireless. You can also add an eye tracking addon when that comes out.

Blender best practice is to save iteratively. so much so that the save dialog even has a "+" button for incrementing your filenames.
I save my first file as <thing> 0.01, and then every time I do something I hit ctrl-shift-S and then the + and then save.

We'll be driving some muscle cars in Assetto Corsa tomorrow night at 8PM EDT.
We'll be driving a bunch of mod cars at one of the LA Canyons layouts we haven't tried yet. If it doesn't work well with these cars, we'll switch over to Black Cat County.

My valve index finally arrived and it is awesome; it is my first 'true' experience with VR. Just because of the box you can tell it is a pretty premium device; hell, even the setup manuals are printed in different colors for each language, all the little presentation details really fucking add up.

I already got everything in pic related (owned games, wishlisted, and current torrented porn) ready for tomorrow. Any more reccomendations?

Also, how to properly care for the index? Besides not fucking up, tucking or bending the cables, wiping the lenses only with provided cloth, and only turning on ase stations when I'm sure I'm going to use them. Specially the cables, which I've read about them dying and rendering the HMD totally useless (the spares are not even in stock anymore; I am scared as fuck of my index becoming a broken paperweight eventually).
