It seems there is no problem finding matches if not on VRG scheadule.

It's a great game Quake/Team Fortress 2 mixed up and remade for VR, highly recommend. Oh and you don't need to beg for a private server reservation anymore, you can just create the lobby ingame, with optional password.

I've been trying to find the answer to that since 2018. From what I can tell, most people don't actually do that. Instead they know their friends through a group where they will happen to mutually interact, rather than making a specific effort to interact with each other one to one. Said group also conflicts with their ability to make other friends because their time is preoccupied by the group, so they have less flexibility to interact with anyone outside it.

Feel free to ignore my advice, as I've failed to make a single friend so far, but your effort is probably better spent on trying to become part of a group, which will lead to friendships, rather than trying to become friends with specific people as two individuals.

I don't usually hang with /vrg/ anymore, since it's sorta devolved into "movie night - every night" and it gets old. I just fart around at the pugs (with a load of security mods) and shoot the shit with a few friends who are regular.

My advice WRT meetups is to just jump in and fake it. Talk about shit that interests you (that isn't cooming). You'll do fine. You'll eventually find people you feel comfortable with.

I usually force myself to get on at a specific time each night so I can unwind and get some socialization in. It works. Just remember to make a checklist if you have a lot of gear and side programs to set up (e.g. VRCX, foobar, etc).

The Quest speakers are what make the game unbearable. Every game I've played since launch has been screaming children who you will hear yourself through their mics as their headphones are super loud. Most of them barely play the game either, and in a team based game it makes things actively unfun when half a dozen of your teammates are messing around in one corner of the map rather than playing to the objective. The Great Pug is a public world. When we speak of pugs, we mean a Great Pug public instance. It's not a /vrg/ thing, I just like to get in the middle of it.

For /vrg/, make friends with a few /vrg/ people and you'll see them congregate in friends+ instances every so often. (This is easier to see on the vrchat.com website, which you can put in an XSOverlay window and attach to your arm.) Those are usually meetups.

I think it's more likely due to slight latency between when you move your head and when you see that movement happen on your screen. There is infinite survival after you finish the campaign, and free update with post main content questline.

Walking Dead has a story mode with objectives, the "survival" part is a bit of a joke, though there is a crafting system. it's not very sandboxy, the maps and points of interest are all set in stone, though you can mess around with killing zombies in funny ways I guess.
Bean Stalker plays similarly but there's less of a story, just quests to guide your progress. It's pretty soulful and there's a week left on their Christmas event with limited items, so that might be an incentive to go for it.

I played a bit more Townsmen VR. It's pretty fun still, and the little interactions are cute. The UI is a bit annoying as far as management goes though. Hard to tell when villagers are just standing around because their resource buffer is full, and if you need a derived resource like boards from logs, the villagers seem intent on filling the log buffer entirely before starting on any boards. Sometimes when you're moving yourself around the map too your hand just sweeps into a villager and flings them off to some far corner. Wish they'd implement brass tactics system where you can sort of fling yourself across the map with some momentum.

It's only a problem in those corridors before the map opens up. Personally I'd remove that class and spawn them on the map at the point where the tanks are available. It possible because that map spawns StGs and an MG-42 in the armoury after the door is blown off, and spawns AR ammo near the mounted machine guns.

I also realised the ammo boxes and med kits respawn on your knife slot eventually after you've used them. Not sure if it's just on that map though.

just buy it then file a fraud claim with your bank. i do this all the time when i stop playing a gacha game and the only thing that happens is my account sometimes gets banned.
