In 2018 there was the first Valentine event in the community, and it was a total chaos afterwards. In 2019 we had the speed dating, it was pretty laggy, but fun regardless, no dance event.
In 2020, despite all the hate we got and negative energy, we created an amazing (and laggy, yes it was laggy as fuck) dance event, then later the VR Prom in the same map. In 2021, the valentines event got hijacked by undesirable people that also are considered being part of vrg, incredible that people from the same place also are the ones shitting in the living room, right?, but still we managed to run it, with.

This year I don't feel the Valentine dance is a good idea, you know how much I love dancing, but dance events got somewhat stale, and this is coming from someone that loves the dancing scene in VR, and as much as I would like to keep with the tradition of a dance during valentine, I also think that a change would be refreshing, if you still wanna go for the dance, I would recommend to makes things shorter this time, because the lack of attention and interest as been increasing the more people has been joining in vrg.

Every one was great, every dance was fun, the couples only prom was also great (I went with a rigid body bound male avatar of myself). Every year Y complains that valentines is a bad idea and has never once been right. As for lag blame tupper. /vrg/ has outgrown the capacity of the game so that cannot be fixed on our part. Best we can do is multiple small instances to keep player count below 40. Probably Better to keep them even smaller, like 20 or so, for the speed dating thing and encourage people to go to instances where their usual circle isn't. Met some really cool people every time and it's a really good way for newfags to dip their toes into /vrg/ as a whole.

There was for the NAs. I remember it cutting the time short for the NA speed dating.
EU and SEA both had full 4-5 hr runs of the speed dating map three(3) instances each at full capacity.
NAs had theirs's coincide with valentines and had to cut it at 1.5-2 hrs in. Though I think some NAs did go to the EU and SEA too so that's good.
