If you aren't able to make one yourself, there are plenty of avatar worlds with Kons you can use. Texture edits are always a fun entry point into model making/kitbashing. For anons who already made a Kon last year... it's been a year! I'm sure either your main avatar has changed or maybe you've grown your skills? There was a pretty big turn out last year with pretty good frames because Kons are pretty optimized as is. I'd love to see as many people there as possible! Maybe even more than last time. When the game objects are off they do absolutely nothing performance wise. It's the 40MB of texture that is the problem.

Played around a bit with my new index, tried out half life alyx. I uh cant see how i can fit into it without my glasses without unnecessary risk to the lenses, so I played without. Not really, people get used to shooting others in the chest, and if you're short then that area is your head.
Also tall people can look over barriers and stuff on certain maps, and it's always better to have your enemies lower than you.

I have to give certain appreciation to devs who port their games properly. I'm playing the Resident Evil 2 mod right now which has its merits, but tension is kind of destroyed when you can just waggle your knife for infinite damage. That and the spooky atmosphere takes a real hit when most graphical features either don't work in VR or have to be turned off as they don't work correctly. IOI probably won't make raytracing or whatever work in VR, but most things are preserved in the footage they've shown so far.

I remember it looking like shit when I first booted it up, believe it was due to the default trees and grass doing a number on the quest's compression. Once I had mods installed it looked fine. I think the below mods cleared up a lot of the visual noise which removed the compression artifacts. You could try them out, they should also improve your performance.

I don't get why this happens. You have to use quite a lot of force to get it in and out so I don't think it gets loose from movement. I've never had the headset disconnect or crash when accidentally yanking the cable. When the headset does crash, reseating the cable is the only thing that brings it back without restarting my PC. It feels like a software issue more than hardware, just like the audio drivers crashing until you disable/re-enable them in windows.

How do I set multiple clothing toggles in one model? I've got one working, but when I try to use other ones, it doesn't do anything, and the animation window just shows the first one being active for some reasons.

I've got some black spots in my index view that don't move when I shift the fov, but seem to keep shifting around when I play.
