I need the resident ITR expert. I carry my AKM and Glock with AP only, but sometimes I would still get that metallic sound when hitting armored enemies. Is that normal? There even was this one time going against an armored zombie, I shot at it like 10 times and only two went through. I use suppressors for both if that matters.

Still doesn't make sense how I need to shoot an armored zombie like 10 times though, unless I was just really unlucky with rng. Nah there's always one in there somewhere. He spawns inbetween the tents and doesn't see you until you're past the barricade.
Also enemies do spawn in buildings, their spawns are set based on the location of the spawn, but in spawn areas with buildings you can definitely find mimics inside.

but the culprit is most likely that it's somehow trying to divide by zero resulting in the game just not being able to start at all
this means it's probably either something GPU related like the render settings, which i've also tried numerous fixes but to no avail

Inside PD2 mod menu in the VR Improvements you can bind anything anywhere, including crouch. I have no idea about dash movement, but I can tell you the rebinding system does not work properly.
For example you may bind your crouch on left B, now your right A throws a grenade... You may need to fiddle around abit.
