Zenith needs so much work but it's clear they don't have the staff to absorb the amount of feedback they're getting right now.

The menus are laggy and clearly not final. The names for subclasses are clearly placeholders. Running looks stupid for everyone. And the UI needs so so much. The guns, swords, and items should be moved to your sides, and shit like level and xp don't need to be ever-present, much less attached to your face. I know they're still early yet but damned if customization doesn't suck ass right now. All the equipment is just recolors of the same shit. Hopefully that gets better soon.

Same. I'm half way through the castle siege in ITR. There was an update not that long ago where they fixed some enemies doing way more damage than they should so it should be a little bit easier from here on out. Dev confirmed there were no such thing as headshots or crits against players so all those instakills by snipers were probably just that double damage bs.

We usually get around 5-7 players in our biweekly lobbies. The game is also not dead outside private lobbies so you could always play in public rooms if you want.

Alright my report after my first day with the quest 2
1. You still need the exploit to log in without facebook. You can log into the app without facebook, which is why I thought it might be possible to connect without it too, but no when you try to pair it it demands a facebook account. But the old exploit still works.
2. New units ship with a silicone cover so you don't get your face eradicated by the original foam one.
3. The palm straps I got are absolutely excellent, can't imagine myself using it without them anymore.
4. I eventually got semi-used to the official strap but it's still a sin against god and I need to tighten it so much to make it fit well that it causes me headaches after about an hour of play.
5. Superhot VR is fun, I imagine it's much less fun with wires and much more fun if you don't smash your hand against your wardrobe.
6. I almost fell in love with this robot, I am deeply ashamed of myself

I bought it 1.5 years ago and have got my money's worth just from playing with /vrg/, ~25 hours total. That's probably easier to do now that there are regular lobbies. Pubs are also populated, particuarly now that Quest kids will have access custom maps. The Call of Duty style gameplay is easy to jump into and lends itself well to casual solo play.

so i tried pavlov vr and after i tried to launch it my pc screen and vr went black and my pc began to restart.
i tried again and after it installed the anit cheat it launched and i was able to start the tutorial but moments into it my screen went black and my pc restarted. went looking around found some reddit thread with the same problem. somebody in that thread said to delete an english redistributable file and that would fix it.
it seemed like it worked and i was able to do the tutorial. then it did the same thing a few minutes later.
i dont understand. i have not had any issues like this in any other games, boneworks, alyx, h3vr, vrchat, all work fine. i have the minimum requirements for pavlov but it keeps doing this.

I experienced this last night.
It's due to being set to "programs" and having "Game mode" turned off in windows 11.
Turn on game mode and it'll go away.
Or, change performance to "Background Services" in the system app (right click start menu, click performance button) and you can leave game mode off.
It's due to thread director not knowing how to handle multiple apps that need priority like vr does (and steamvr being a jerk and setting your power profile to high performance)

cats material combiner isn't very good, i suggest learning how to manually bake textures if you want to keep stuff like normal maps and roughness.
now here's the fun part, 2.80+ removed the ability to bake transparent textures. you have to either bake the alpha to a separate texture (usually by abusing emission) and then combine them with GIMP/Photoshop, or be a 2.79 chad instead.
