It's not casual friendly because if you're getting easily frustrated, you'll be frustrated a lot since everyone on the server has at least general idea on how to VRFPS. If you're afraid of being shunned, don't worry, come over, have fun with us. We've been teaching people how to plant a bomb in the middle of the game, this is how low we can get without feeling bothered, and it's always great to have some new players around. If you're afraid of having a low score due to personal reasons, you might end up not liking it so much.

After The Fall is a fun coop zombie shooter.
Hyper Dash, Contractors, and Onward are all crossplay shooters, but they're more PvP focused. Contractors and Onward do have some barebones coop stuff though.
Ragnarock and Beat Saber both support crossplay, but not with custom songs.
Eleven has crossplay if you wanna play table tennis.
Zenith is worth considering if you like MMOs, but most people think it's kinda disappointing in it's current state. I think it's still fun enough when you're playing with friends though.
I'd second VRChat too if you just want to hang out together in VR.

A long time ago, in 2018, an anon, who likes his breasts just a little too big, decided that he wanted to have an event for his birthday where everyone made their boobs a little too big. It was a mostly fun holiday although there were some people who made them large enough that you kinda wondered what kind of fetish art they've been looking at.
Well, as you can imagine, the faction of anons that enjoy flat chests did not like this event. They demanded their own event, which took place a few days later. This event went decently well but there were some complaints that it didn't get a friday like breast day. There were also a few complaints about the arguments about boob sizes being too intense.

If it had ended there, it would have been fine. It didn't.
What followed was a week of horror.

After the boob events concluded, people came out of the woodwork to demand that their favorite fetish also have a day. It was decided that the next week would be fetish week and the battle lines started to be drawn. A particularly vicious lolicon started flamewars daily insisting that everyone cater to his tastes. People came out of the woodworks with their "ironic" events and the week's calendar filled with haha I'm totally not into that events.

And as I sat there, with anon pissing on my face, I decided - no more fetish events. This will never end if we don't stop it.

Some people complained. "Yuru, maids are a fetish too!"
One of the loudest complainers had a hahaha totally ironic bro giant foot avatar and spent his week awkwardly trying to position himself so anons were between his toes. Another is a yearly enjoyer and loud proponent of the yearly "ironic" "based" BBW inflation event.

That's how I see the big events at least.
They're supposed to be huge, novel and something people would know has a lot of preparation and setup to be attracted to it knowing some of their old friends they have not seen in a while might be there to enjoy the festivities as well.

I've noticed that everything gets overblown here. You'd think the world was ending the amount people whinge and complain any time anyone tries to organise anything. I think this is honestly the result of having a community with a large autistic population, every tiny complaint/criticism that each individual person has they feel the need to voice it in the thread and then argue about it endlessly. I remember last secret santa people arguing and actually getting angry about the shape of the fucking present boxes which fucking blew me away. That's an extreme example but every every time anything is hosted or organised I see people nitpicking endlessly even when they aren't interested in the event in the first place and it kind of annoys me. Like the person in this thread complaining about the DJ event that they aren't even going to, they just don't like the fact that other people might attend, that shit comes off as either massively entitled or just highly autistic.

Obviously criticism is important but I think people here would do well to think about whether it's worth posting their criticism or not. If it's a tiny thing in an event that you are interested in it might be better to just shut up and enjoy it and if it's some fundamental issue that you really disagree with it might just not be something you are interested in so you don't need to complain anyway, you can just do something else.

Anyway, don't take this as some event organiser that's fed up and doesn't appreciate their audience, I've never hosted anything, this is just a trend I've noticed from the outside and I think a lot of people here are probably just innocently doing it without even realising.

I think you are overestimating what it's like to use these headsets just as a screen. These things are best used for games, browsing the web or normal desktop applications aren't very comfortable to use in VR and it's not great quality wise. Movies are okay but if I'm not watching them with other people in VRC I always prefer to just watch on a flat screen anyway since the picture quality is better.

The puzzles were okay, and probably the only good part of the map.
The story dissolves somewhere in the middle, the content is lacking for a 500 mb map, and the historical elements are not expanded upon as thoroughly as I think they could've been.

It's been a while since I touched my Valve Index but I wanna get into VR.
The one thing I could never figure out is how to make my own room.
When you put up the Index on Steam you get put into a little preset room where you can select your library or browse the internet.
Any time I've added different objects or hang posters onto the walls, the next session I come back everything is reset back to default.

How to make a PhysBones skirt that doesn't clip through legs? The collision works, but legs capsule colliders are slipping in between skirt bones.
I remember having similar problem when I was making mods for Skyrim, and I got away with it by making a rigged mesh collider for both legs, but that is not an potion here.

We just have a coordination problem, because no one wants to be the first to come on and wait alone for other people.

Why are avatars so ridiculously huge nowadays? I go to a public H Party and literally half the instance is invisible because their avatars are over 50mb.

I show 3 of their avatars (80mb, 80mb, 60mb) and my framerate tanks to 20fps because my VRAM is maxing out (8gb RTX 2070). I feel like most people don't notice because most people have non-friends hidden by default. But it's really important to me to see other people's avatars (I go to publics a lot).

My biggest recently made avatar is 20mb - with zero compression on textures. What the fuck is causing so many avatars to be so incredibly large to the point where it's breaking the game?
