For this one, the initial model was made with vroid studio. Now, I had a lot of trouble finding clothing I liked on booth, so I ended up doing a lot of texture work on every aspect that wasn’t the top. The top is a mixture of two outfits I liked the look of, and then deleting bits to make them fit together. Everything else was pretty much done from scratch using the skin guides and a plain default outfit.
A lot of the sliders can actually go past the point where the slider ends if you mess with the values, which helps give the outfit a better fit than seems initially possible.
After that, export to vrm. Then find the VRM to Unity addon for unity.
Once imported into unity, a lot of the defaults are a bit odd, so you’ll find the avatar has the wrong expressions for things like “thumbs up”.
To fix this, just find a blender to vrc guide where they had to manually assign them, so you know where to look.
Then it’s just some fine tuning of things like eyes and view points, then you’re all good!

I was a long-time doubter in just how 'mainstream' VR would become.

After a couple short weeks with it - I'm a full on believer. This is going to be the future (for better or worse). I've found myself daydreaming about the virtual world while the mundane existence I have in the physical world chugs along. I've even caught myself getting spooked by my own hands for half a second if I catch them in an odd light because I'm expecting to see my virtual hands, and instead I see my real hands.

I still don't see the lure into radical things like ERP (maybe give me a few more months) - but just the things like exploring new worlds or having some of the most thought-provoking conversations I've experienced with someone I've never met, have shown me the light.

I'm excited/terrified to see where VR will be in 20 years.

For me I think it's mostly haptics.
I don't NEED to IMAGINE the smell, and I don't necessarily need taste.
What would take VR to the next level is the ability to move realistically (so treadmill but perhaps more advanced, not sure what the answer is here) through the world and feel what I'm touching. If I pick up an apple, I'd like to feel it. I guess simulating the weight of the apple is going to be difficult to impossible, but I'd like to be able to run my fingers along the surface and feel the smooth skin of the apple. Or play a game like The Climb and actually feel the hard, rocky grips as I climb. Feel gunshots in Pavlov, etc.
I think Haptics is the easiest and best field to tackle to take VR to the next level. Smell is maybe next after that, and perhaps followed by taste. The hardest part will be balance, gravity and inertia. I think you would need an expensive and space-consuming harness system that can pick you up off the ground and toss you around (safely) that'd probably cost 5 digits and not be really viable for the average home user.

VRchat is the killer app right now whether people want to admit it or not. There's not a lot of movement when it comes to other games. There are some other decent games, like pavlov, but they really do not change in any meaningful way very often. If you would like to start a discussion on a vr game, I'm sure there are people here knowledgeable about any given game that would respond to you.
VRchat is a game with a lot of replayability because it's a social game and because it's a platform where users can upload content.

I don't really believe that VR is dead. I think it's constantly slowly growing and improving. There's a lot of growing pains involved in that. The hardware and the games themselves are still in the process of being perfected.

Other games come and go. Right now VTOL VR gets discussion here from time to time, as well as other games.

I ran NA pavlov games out of this thread for 2+ years. There is no shortage of people interested in VR games but there is a lack of interesting VR games.

On the topic of the games you mentioned, I've seen some into the radius discussion here. It does seem like it's an interesting game and I've definitely seen it discussed.
Synth Riders doesn't look very interesting to me, but I can say that Beat Saber (which seems to be the better game) has been discussed to death here.

The reason you don't see them discussed very often these days is because of how hard they have stagnated.

And on a related topic to that matter, one thing you don't see much discussion here about is the fact that the Quest and facebook's attempts to pay everyone off to make their games quest compatible was an absolutely apocalyptic event for VR games. Onward and Contractors are two very good examples of games that shot themselves in the feet trying to be Quest compatible. They stopped actually developing new features and focused on making their games retarded enough that the Quest could actually run them. So many promising VR games have stagnated as a result of this.

I posted about Contractors for about 3 months before someone popular decided they were going to buy it and suddenly there was enough interest for lobbies the next day. I tried hosting Pavlov numerous times and concluded there must be no interest in it because I'd just sit in the lobby by myself for 30 minutes every time. NA lobbies finally took off, so I tried again with the same result until the EU social group finally decided they would host. I've posted screens and videos from practically every VR game I've played and it just gets lost under the flood of VRChat posts or schizo meltdowns when the thread has that for months on end. It's a waste of time even trying here.

I rejoined 5 minutes later but you guys already left since the Shogi match was going on pretty long, around ~2 hrs. Either way it was fun playing the board game for the first time and taking you both on as opponents at the same time. It was quite a very difficult yet enjoyable challenge.
