The Reverb G2 is the cheapest option where I live by a fair bit ($290 cheaper than odyssey). Is it good enough for general use, or should I go for the odyssey? The quest 2 is almost half its price, but I learned my fucking lesson with the occulus, I'm never touching zucc shit ever again.

Once you get a joystick and go through mandatory ~50h of E:D awe, you can also give Wingman a try. It's crazy fun, plus it's also just a plain solid game. Story is good, music is amazing, gameplay is crazy fun, it would be great on flatscreen and therefore it's even better in VR.

Some unforeseen circumstances popped me into VRC and I finally checked what the fuck was up with the main menu beta.

The text seems fuzzier to read. It's been a sort of gradual thing and for some reason the thing that put me on CVR was the text to begin with.
The menu is laggy as hell. For some reason I just die opening it up.
I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea to make sure you get stabbed by caltrops when calibrating but that is friggin' stupid. You could just paint orientations on spheres and call it good.
The radial menu is much easier to read, ironically. I found it got bigger on my return and I had no issues with that. Easier to navigate, in a sense, too. Nothing really even changed with it, so my settings are kinda goofed.
Personal mirror's a bit awkward to find. I can see the use but hope it keeps its size. I only think it's not nauseating if I set it in world per conversation but hey.
The main menu's settings are actually really tidy. I wish the rest of the menus were that clean.
I still prefer the quick menu for most things. It doesn't give a reason for anything outside of expanding for avatar stars like VRAM, which is a giant waste of space and stupid to need to do anyways.
It seems most of this was YMMV.

I really enjoyed getting to look at the GFL stuff. I was a bit late, but I was ready for over a month. I found my favourite Sangvis in short order. Thank you for keeping it up, I wanna check out the bowling later.
