I'm really torn on Bonelab
I enjoy the focus on modding and the new weapons (silenced pistol in particular), and while I do like how the devs made a VR sandbox for people to just make stuff, I don't really like how barebones (no pun intended) the main game is
Also, I understand this is because the game just came out, but the SDK itself is also pretty basic as you can't make any weapons or vehicles yet

Bi-Weekly Cluster Exploration event this week, going around worlds, checking whatever event is active at the time and messing around with ingame world building tools. GameJam world prototypes are out.

Non-JP population is small but game itself has plenty of players and they're more than happy to show everyone around, there's persistent world chatbox so machine translation fueled discussion isn't uncommon. World creation SDK is fully open source, relatively powerful (think halfway between SDK2 and UDON) and offers great documentation with tons of guides (all in moonspeak).
You can even directly stream images, PDFs, videos, music or even webcast your screen to players in worlds so bring some memes. And yes, there's mahjong.

Yes but unlike flat aim training there aren't any worth playing. Point shooting, keeping your arms steady and to some extent your general spatial awareness can all be trained by just shooting stuff in VR games. The skills are mostly transferrable so the characteristics of the guns are the only thing you need to learn in each game. Pavlov has a good shooting range custom map for rapidly moving small targets but I don't know of any that actually try to simulate the movements you'd see in PvP.

The halloween event I had docketed for this year is a simulated trick or treat event. It'll be largely impromptu and unscripted but it will be also similar to the D&D 2020 event where we run groups of anons from station to station where they take part in a small skit and then move to the next station.
With that in mind, I am looking for help. I need people to play the part of chaperones to get teams from station to station, and people to basically play the parts and plan out the skits at each station.
I could also use a map maker (i would really really enjoy it if someone more talented than myself would make the map) but I have a feeling I'm the one that will end up doing most of the map creation.

I had also heard some people talking about wanting costume contest. We could do a contest instead, but I'd ruled that one out a bit since it's been done, because it's hard to judge fairly, and because doing these contests has become incredibly complex due to the large and still growing size of vrg.

Different anon in the processing of RMAing my Kickstarter Tundras, so take with a grain of salt. Hopefully replacements will be better.
The bad: In the same position on my hip, my tundra will float away and vanish roughly once a minute, not recovering for 30+ sec. Doing a 360 spin can sometimes help. Vive 3.0 tracker in the same position is rock solid.
The Tundra only somewhat keeps its shit together if mounted somewhere with perfect visibility to multiple basestations at all times, such as on your feet.
Non-Tundra devices do not play nice with Tundra dongles and will drift off and vanish. Tundra devices will also do this when using the dongle. Do not use the dongle, at least not the 5x one. 3x is apparently less problematic.
The screw supports in one of the baseplates sheared straight off under minimal strain ( remaining ones have been fine, but the plastic is still way too thin ).
The Trackers turn on when you plug them in to charge, and will also launch SteamVR, even if you don't hit any buttons. Despite what their manual says about the indicator lights, you cannot tell if they are on, off, charging or fully charged when plugged in.

The good: They're tiny and don't catch on anything. Battery life is greater than Vive 3.0. When not drifting away the tracking is otherwise great, though they can take several minutes to stabilize after turning on.

Even with all these problems I prefer them over Vives for my feet, so maybe get 2

The usual contest we do every year will occur again. Just don’t be sweaty about it. It’s a contest but it’s main purpose is to highlight each anon’s costume for everyone else to see.
Last year we implimented an every anon votes method because we did virtamate that year too which used the same judging system we always have used for halloween.

This year we’ll just so the normal judging since no virtamate. I’ll be discussing with Good Doggo R about how we can expedite the juding process. I’ll probably incorporate oompaloompa M’s teleport stage methodology to get people lined up and skip the walk along.

Funny enough the sneed system is what inspired the UDON vote.
I do believe H coded it as optimized as possible.

The map has been optimized by me visually for both sneed and halloween so it should have ran the same map wise.
Sneed had 50-60 people on the map since it ran at about the same time as vrgrammys.

Should we organize the halloween event like that this year?
With everyone having the disable avatar by distance though if you want the same experience as the sneed voting it's essentially the everyone votes UDON system we did last year.
