I went into unity on my avatar's project and hit detach blueprint ID so it no longer overwrites my current avatar (I wanted to upload an entire new version of the model unrelated to my original) however when I go to the VRC SDK to upload it...it still shows the info for my original avatar? it even shows version numbers, meaning it's still overwriting my old avatar? but there's no blueprint ID attached?

I pointed this out a couple of times but Shogi, from an outsider's perspective, failed because you guys didn't want to do the auto prefab world similar to what Mahjong had. Manual stuff is more immersive (like Otakaze) but it's several times more harder to have a casual experience around it since you must know what you're actively doing and focus on the discards compared to having the mahsoul experience. That's why the autoprefab just simply works for a super effective long-persistence experience. You can recline and still enjoy the game while shooting the shit with your boys.

Chess is a odd outliner because it's only one on one and is far less forgiving with you being casual about it. I think the chess map is also too spaced out so it's harder to shoot the shit with other tables so to speak.

With VD it's pretty good, at least as long as you're used to shitty LCDs.
The glare is pretty bad ( covers entire lens instead of just being a localized godray thing ), and the supposed edge-to-edge clarity is not a thing, UNLESS you get your eyes closer to the lenses. This also greatly increases FOV, and you still can't see the edges of the display.
Limiting your ability to do so is the absolutely horrendous facial interface. There is zero contact on the sides and tightening the headstrap makes it dig into your cheeks. They even customized the facial interface for our westerner's massive noses ( see picture )and it's still the worst thing I have ever encountered. VRCover working on a better one.
Controllers seem hit-or-miss. Some people love them, I personally find them incredibly uncomfortable and don't intend to use the headset until viable replacements arrive. Feel like they're made for tiny hands. They're also very heavy, which you may love or hate.
Remember to enable 90hz, and adjust your gamma/color range in VD for a passable image.

Ignoring the latency because they're demonstrating it via a cloud service, the telltale signs of IMU tracking are much more obvious here. Lots of sliding and feet sinking into the floor

There’s more money in making these gumroad base avatars, than there is making fully from scratch avatars and posting them on booth. The booth love it ratio to people that actually buying the avatar is so fucked. Love it doesn’t not represent how many people that are buying it. They can have 1k love its, but people only buy like 40 of the avatar.

Where on gumroad, sellers with like 45 ratings will have hundreds of sales. Gumroad avatars are all the same 4 to 5 bases just reused with different outfit changes. I know a creator that made probably 100k by now that has used the same base with different outfit changes since 2020.

Went to a VR church once, and it was an experience. One guy bum rushed the pulpit and tried to get everybody to pray a Hail Mary. I got a friend request mid-sermon from a guy who told me to leave the church immediately because anybody who celebrated Christmas or Easter was going straight to hell.
