You need to get to New User to upload your own avatars, your avatar must be over 48 hours old and you must have hung out in Public or Friends+ instances for a bit. Getting friended helps a lot. Getting blocked or muted is bad. You should be able to put in about 2 hours a day and then you'll be New User in no time.

The trust rank system is really weird and a very closed-off black box.

What helps increase your trust rank:
-Be in public instances and talk to people. They actually detect AFK desktopping and you won't get any points for being mute in a corner.
-Friending people, especially if they send you a request and not the other way around
-Uploading avatars/worlds (avatars needs New User rank and worlds needs User rank)
-Just being online
-Account age
-Getting VRC+ (yes really, this will increase your trust rank by 1 level guaranteed)

These things decrease your trust rank:
-Getting muted
-Getting blocked
-Unfriending people
-Blocking/muting people
-Getting temp banned for offensive or malicious avatars

The tl;dr of it is, just play the game and don't be an annoying nuisance and you will eventually reach User rank. User rank is very fast to reach, even Known User goes very quickly, but Known->Trusted can take a long time. I have seen people make alts and reach known user within 3 weeks. In this game, that's a very small amount of time.

Just tried it, way jankier than expected.

VTOL-VR is the gold standard, perfect vr cockpit interaction, you point at button/dial/lever with your index finger and click trigger to activate.

But this mod uses just proximity touch to activate most buttons - super easy to missclick, and pinch gesture for dials and levers, making it hard to target, as I have no idea where the grabbing collider is when I do pinch gesture.

World scaling seems off too, I'm like 3 times taller than a kerbal. And I keep getting out of the seat.

VR joystick throttle is as good as in VTOL.

Getting in and out from/to VR seems weird, and the game doesn't like when you have steamvr overlay open.
