I haven't played in a long time since I only play in /vrg/ lobbies really, and otherwise the playerbase is sweats and kids as mentioned, so it's no fun due to that. It really is a crying shame though - the game really captivated me when I was first playing it. Zero gravity ultimate frisbee, 3v3. Was really an incredible game at its core.

So apparently the experience playin most games using the Ultra preset is not very different on either RTX 3090 or RTX 4090 using the Valve Index, but the RTX 4090 has more performance headroom to increase the framerate to 120Hz or to use a higher resolution headset.

That's generally true, but if you're just looking at those framerates instead of the graphs, you'll miss cases where some games drop or have to generate frames.

Atlasing is essentially just arranging multiple material's UV maps so they all fit on one image and then baking the textures to the new UV map. Cats plugin for blender has a texture combiner that does a similar thing but with varying quality issues. If your UV maps are already packed into squares it's good because it will just arrange the entire textures without touching the UV islands within each UV map. If they have wasted space, try something like UVpackmaster and baking like in the linked tutorial.

Resize the boxes to be 2:1 length:width. Have the first layer 2 boxes length-ways and 1 perpendicular on the end. Pic related. Then have the next layer the same but rotated 180 degrees. Much more secure that way and doesn't collapse on itself if it gets shunted.

You should manually texture atlas (or automatically do it) to combine your materials. 30 material slots is downright incredible and while A LOT less people will have you auto filtered, you might still get filtered.

I am not clinically diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. That being said, I just think trains are neat. There's lots of different types and styles to enjoy and look into. The relative modernity of the train as an object in general means it's fairly well documented so there's plenty of info to learn if you'd like (or not! you can just enjoy looking at them!). They differ wildly based on region in both appearance and use. There's lots of operational rail companies around the world as well as lovely museums and restoration groups that allow you to viscerally interact with the trains as a very "living" piece of history. Not to mention the countless model trains large and small that you can enjoy on your own or with groups! Trains are wonderful Anon, I'm sure you can find a lovely way to enjoy them.
