DK2 is an old dev kit with no motion controllers and very poor head tracking, i used to play motion games on it with PS moves but please don't do that to yourself, it won't be enjoyable in any way. CV1 is great, just check if cable is not on the verge of breaking/disconnecting headset, same with Rift S.

I prefer the slow method of just sculpt tool
sculpt mode -> grab (deflate also good) -> symmetry lock x -> low strength

you want the clothes to be similar poly density near bends, so sub divide or select faces and bisect (draw lines where the bends are)

save new states often.

select base first then shift+select the clothes -> weight paint mode -> tools -> transfer weights -> vertex mapping : nearest face interpolated -> source layers selection : by name

You can still play vrchat, you will encounter low framerates but depending on how much you let it bother you, it's not THAT bad.
That being said, vrchat (or rather the avatars) are so badly optimised that it doesn't really matter anyways. You WILL have bad framerates with 80 instances.
That's where the performance settings come into play. It can be managed just fine.
